Buy a Btech, not just a Baofeng.
Radio worked like a champ. It is tri-band as advertised (2m, 1.25m, 70cm). Have not had a chance to test power output, but I can hit a number of repeaters on different bands from my QTH. Good little radio. I will buy Btech again.

for the price ya cannot go wrong
at this point i am still learning to use! i bought Uniden bc75xlt a coupla years ago, volume problems, and no where to repair except with Uniden, at a cost of $59.00

Good mobile radio for listening to local radio
This is a great entry level radio. Easy to program with CHIRP which connects to many radio databases to pull freqs from. The low number of channels to program is a limiting factor, but for the price you can’t beat the UV 5x3. I use mine strictly to listen to several of the local repeaters and it works well for that while still offering the ability to Xmit for those with ham licenses. This radio is not approved by the FCC to Xmit on GMRS.

Still working on my Technicians license
So I really can't speak to how easy it might be to use. However, I fired up the local FM talk radio station and the BF sounds even more clear than my "major" audio system.
