Description
  • * Designed for full-frame Canon EF-mount digital SLR cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models, the ultra wide-angle fixed-focus lens offers a 22.4mm equivalent focal length.
  • * The bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is suitable for working in difficult lighting conditions and facilitates astrophotography applications, and also allows better control of depth of field.
  • * An ultra-low dispersion aspherical lens and an anomalous partial dispersion lens significantly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberration for high clarity and accurate color rendering. Two aspherical lenses (including UD aspherical lenses) and one ultra-high refractive index lens help minimize distortion and spherical aberration for improved sharpness and accurate subject rendering.
  • * Individual glass elements are multi-coated to resist glare and ghosting, resulting in improved contrast and color fidelity.
  • * A DC motor is used for fast and accurate autofocus performance, and a dedicated switch lets you quickly switch from autofocus to MF control. Also features a focus distance scale to help with pre-focusing techniques. Note: Because the lens uses a DC motor, there is a motor-driven sound when focusing, so the ability to shoot video is slightly weaker."

Just awesome!
There really isn't much to say, it's already been described in detail in the other reviews. Super sharp, great value for money, a bit difficult to focus, but it doesn't bother me much, since I use the good piece in landscape photography anyway, where the focus ring almost always remains at "infinity". On an APS-C camera (Canon EOS 600D), the image distortion is within limits and can be quickly corrected with two clicks in Lightroom. I'm completely satisfied, unfortunately the weather isn't cooperating at the moment... :) UPDATE: I was now able to test the lens on an EOS 6D. Sharpness is still good, but not at the edges, is also related to image distortion, the full format makes a difference in terms of focal length, and vignetting has also increased significantly compared to APS-C. A lot can be ironed out with Lightroom, digital photography just doesn't work without post-processing and the lens isn't designed for snapshots anyway. Be that as it may - I stand by my recommendation, even if some of the "professional photographers" have expressed themselves very negatively - if you are looking for laboratory quality, you are in the wrong price range here. PS: The outdoor pictures are HDR's composed of 3-5 photos, with minimal (standard) sharpening in Lightroom.

Use it for astrophotography
started with astrophotography and was looking for an ultra wide angle lens with an aperture below 3 for milky way photos. On some websites this was recommended for beginners and for the price it is also affordable for hobby photographers. I am very happy with it and would recommend it to anyone

Price performance is simply top!
use the lens on my Canon 5d II full format camera - I am very satisfied with the imaging performance. Of course there is vignetting with an open aperture of 2.8 - but you hardly take pictures with it anyway. There are certainly better lenses - but you have to put down at least twice as much and therefore I can only recommend the lens to everyone who wants to use it from time to time. Anyone who needs a UWW professionally should take a look at the 11 or 15 mm from IRIX.

Fantastic, manual preferred
Bought in 2023, after a long time I feel like giving a review because it is the best lens of my kit. It has been used on Canon APS-C and now full frame Sony and has allowed me to take great shots home. Since it's wide-angle (so with a wide hyperfocal) you don't have to spend money to buy the autofocus version and the focus ring allows you to set focus very precisely and fluidly, but I'm sure that You will keep it in an infinite position 90% of the time. The other ring of the cone port is very useful and well made, with clicks that are easy to "hear". The sharpness is great, it loses slightly in the corners in full frame, but still remains excellent. Vignetting isn't a problem at all and closing the aperture at f/4 isn't as noticeable. I didn't notice any discrepancies in any of the many recordings. The aperture of f2.8 allows this lens to be used even in low light conditions or for those who want to take their first steps in the world of astrophotography. The downsides are minor and negligible: the outward weight distribution, the fixed lens hood, and the aperture ring partially covered by the built-in flash. I think this is the first lens to buy for those who want to "ditch" the kit. You will always carry it with you.

pictures say more than words
For the price you can't complain. I use the lens on my Sony A7S2 with an adapter and I find the imaging quality very good. It's also good for videos to be easy to trade. A little tinkering with the software and the results speak for themselves. The processing is good I am satisfied. I can recommend it.

Best wide angle
Very good lens from K&F Concept, highly recommended. Really very sharp and has a good image quality, super combo with my Canon 600d. Processing top, you can focus super manual.

If you're looking for a wide angle, you've come to the right place.
bought this lens with some apprehension. I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to my lens collection and apart from one Sigma item I only own Canon glass. I own a Canon 550D and have never felt I could get a wide enough lens (that was also compatible with a full frame camera) for a reasonable price. A friend of mine owns the Canon equivalent of this device and it has always made me jealous. Since it's only about 15% the price of a Canon lens, I didn't have high hopes for the quality of the stills (or movies) this thing would be capable of. How wrong could I have been. For the money, this lens is just amazing. Wide but also very sharp at 100% crop. I am quite amazed at how good this product actually is. At this point (a week of extensive testing) I don't regret buying this lens at all. It works very well for pictures and videos (which is what I mainly use my camera for). Build quality feels solid, my only downside is that the focus ring on my device is a little rough in places. I also don't think this unit will stand the test of time as well as my Canons, although I'm not sure why I think so. In fact, using the lens is also a bit more complicated than its more expensive counterparts - as you've noticed in the description is the full manual; focus and aperture. I can understand that this isn't for everyone, but it didn't pose any major problems for me. Focusing can be a little tricky at times, but having Magic Lantern on your camera can really alleviate that difficulty. When you factor in the price of this kit and the price of its closest competitor, it's a no-brainer. At least it is for me. Looking at the comparison shots of this and Canon's 14mm counterpart, there's only a negligible difference in favor of the Canon. For a £1700 difference it's really not worth it in my humble opinion. If you need a wide angle lens, get this lens. You will not be disappointed.

Great for little money
If you can live with a purely manual lens, you can get a very nice, sharp and high-contrast lens here for little money. You have to stop down a bit so that the edge is sharp, but that's a really small downer.

Best super wide angle at the best price
Actually, I'm not a fan of super wide-angle photography: Everything that goes over 24mm doesn't have to be. Nevertheless, I needed this lens for a specific purpose: Milky Way photography. However, since I can only run it once or twice a year, I didn't want to spend huge amounts of money. This lens gives great results with the Canon 6D. My recommendation: stop down one stop to aperture 4 and ISO 3200/64000 with an exposure time of 25 seconds. The small gain in sharpness easily compensates for the loss in light intensity. The latter can be compensated to the same extent in post-processing, but of course not sharpness. This also gives you a bit better control of the coma (which is hardly a problem with this lens anyway).

Top image quality and great value for money.
I am very satisfied with the lens in every respect. The lack of autofocus is not a problem for landscape shots. The beach pictures are the first attempts with the lens.

No, it works the same as with all other lenses. Rotate counterclockwise.

We use the lens occasionally for a Nikon D750. When the lens is set to f/22, program auto works. Since the D3500 would also have to have an F bayonet, according to the description, the lens should normally also fit on this camera. The price-performance ratio is quite good with this lens.

Good morning, two days before Christmas Eve, so first of all I wish you a Merry Christmas and a peaceful start to the New Year 2021, which may bring you the best of health and great contentment. And now to the question about the Olympus connection. I find it strange that Amazon is forwarding this question to a user of CANON EOS full-frame cameras. I have very little knowledge of other camera connections. All I know is that you are in good hands with Olympus, they are all high-performance precision mechanical and optical devices. The question of the compatibility of the K&F Concept lens with Olympus can only be answered by Olympus or Foto-Walser as the importer and sales partner of K&F Concept. However, based on decades of photo experience, I can imagine that there can be no adapter option from Canon EOS to Olympus bayonet. The connections are fundamentally different with their electronic transfers from the lens to the camera and in the number of copies. I haven't checked whether this lens even has an Olympus mount. A suitable Olympus connector would be perfect though. Just ask Olympus or Foto-Walser. Incidentally, Amazon is showing the wrong lens here, I don't have a manual 14 K&F Concept, but the AF version, and it works great with EOS. I wish you the best of luck with your research. One more thing, I'm not bothering to make a video answer as I just wanted to answer your question and not a free promotion for the lens. And the text is enough for that. Have fun and success with the Olympus products.

It's an EF mount. If RP then the adapter logically arises by itself.
