K2 Keyless Entry Door Lock, Electronic Door Lock with Keyboard, 100 User Passwords, with Anti Peep Password

The keyless entry door lock is a great solution for adding a keyless entry to any door with a deadbolt. The installation can be difficult if you do not follow the included instructions. If you want the installation to go easy I would suggest following the instructions and make sure that the alignment of the locking mechanism is straight up and down every step is important otherwise when you get to the end it won't work. I got frustrated taking it apart and putting it back together multiple times. Programming was a breeze but I would suggest keeping the manual and the key somewhere safe in case the batteries go dead or you need to reprogram. You can turn the auto lock functionality on and off. You can also change the duration of the auto lock from 10 to 99 seconds. I set the unit to not make beeping noises when you press the buttons you can find this in the manual.

Having never used a lock like this one for my home, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I wasn’t really shopping for one either. My wife, however, was. And I’m all for any product that can help her feel safe. We live in a quiet residential neighborhood, but are constantly aware of the break in attempts around us as reported by neighborhood Facebook groups. So I’m happy that we chose this product, which essentially serves as a replacement for your deadbolt. We also like to keep our keychains on the minimal side of things with a little more than a key fob.

While each member of our family uses a single code to unlock our door, having the ability to set a temporary alternate for a neighbor when we are out of town is awesome. I imagine people with rental property will especially appreciate this feature. There is one drawback though, but it’s not worth docking even one star from my rating. It’s the bulky box on the inside of the door. We knew this model uses multiple AAA batteries and even bought some in preparation. But it does look a little big. They all may be like that for all I know and my wife sees no issue with it, so I can overlook it too. Eventually. In the meantime, typing in our code and hearing the lock do its thing is pretty cool. I feel so hi-tech!

I love at the features it has for adding or removing a PIN code.

So everything you needed to install this lock is included in the box except for the 4 AA batteries and at least a Phillips screwdriver. For me, all I had to do was to take out the old rusted lock and replace it with this new shiny battery operated lock. No drilling was needed so it only took me about 20-30 minutes top to install and programmed in the codes as well as the way I wanted it to work. They have also included some extra parts for the deadbolt in case you needed depending on the type of door locks you currently have or if you are starting from scratch or a brand new door, but it should still be straightforward for the majority household doorlocks. Not too complicated and I only had to glance through the well illustrated installation steps included in the User Guide. Once everything was hooked up and tight, programming instructions are also very easy to follow, from changing the Master code to setting up a one-time code or activating the Auto-locking feature. Make sure to change the Master code and write it down somewhere because you will need that code to program other settings. Overall, this is a well-made lock, good deabolt, easy to use and program with lighted keypads as well. By the way, you can also disable key-clicking sound as well if you wish.

Very affordable for the extra security

I like the look of this lock, and it matches my Schlage Camelot front door handle well. Construction is sturdy, programming codes is easy once you get the hang of it.

My only criticism is that the included strike plate is chrome instead of bronze, making it stand out against the Schlage set.

A great upgrade if you want keyless access. Was a simple install and only took a few minutes to install. Requires 4 AA batteries and comes with 2 keys for manual operation. There is a knob on the back side that allows you to lock or unlock from the inside. This does appear to use the battery even with manual operation as anytime the unit locks or unlocks there is a beep.

The master code is easy to reset as long as you follow the instructions, there is also a flow chat which really helps. The code can be reset from 4-20 numbers and supports multiple codes. The keypad does glow and beeps when you press buttons. You also get confirmation tones when locking and unlocking. There is also a tone if there is an error.

The oil rubbed bronze looks great paired with other locks. That being said, this is a deadbolt only NOT a combo set. No handle or batteries included.

I love this product! It works very well! Easy to program and reset!

Programing a code into this was easy, installation was easy and now I don't need to carry house keys with me.
