K&F Concept 99Wh V-Mount Battery with PD100W USB-C Fast Charging and Multi-Output Ports, TFT Digital Screen & Emergency Light for Camera, photography light, smartphone, laptop etc.

I used to use NP-F type batteries for my power purposes but once I tried a V-Mount battery I decided that was the way to go! I needed a new one for a different monitor and went looking. I was not aware that K&F Concept did one so when I saw it, I ordered it as I have always been pleased with the quality of other products by them that I own.

If you've never used a V-Mount battery before you may be surprised at just how big and beefy they are. This one is approximately 4.25" x 1.25" x 3" or 108mm x 57mm x 78mm and it weighs 1lb 6.4oz or 634g. It comes with a 40" USB-C to USB-C cable and a small user's manual.

The battery has all the usual output ports you would expect. There are two USB-C, one USB-A, one D-Tap, and a DC 12V port. Input is via USB-C1 or D-Tap. It appears well made and there is nothing cheap looking about it.

Pressing the power button brings up the current power level in the form of a green circle. Incidentally, if you long hold the power button it will also turn on a small LED light which is located on the back of the battery just below the V-Mount itself. It's not ultra bright but in complete darkness you could at least see where you are going.

In use this is a battery capable of most things you could throw at it. I will mostly be using it for powering a Ninja V monitor, but it could also be used to power a camera (with the right adapter), or even just as a power bank.

This battery can also provide 100W output which means that it could also be used to power something as demanding as an indoor studio light or an outdoor portable location light.

Overall, this is a powerful 99Wh battery that performs very well in use. If you are considering a V-Mount battery, then this is definitely one you should look at.

Unique Aesthetic, Nice Display, good features

Interesting grey metal exterior compared to so many other black plastic alternatives. It has a nice material-covered USB-C to USB-C cable rather than the plastic cables others come with.

There are two USB-C ports of which one is also input for fast charging. It also has USB-A and DV 12v under the same top tab. The tab does take some work to open if you cut your fingernails short. It should be noted that there's no DV 8v port as found on some competitors but I don't find that critical. That said some competitors only have a single USB-C port and having two is a plus. The D Tap port is on one side while the power button is on the other. The sides have a textured grip for easy handling.

The display shows a nice clear large battery percentage while some competitors only show much smaller numbers with a more complex display. That option is certainly available as you can see the voltage and wattage out of each port in use along with the overall percentage. It's nice that the input and output values for each port are printed on the battery as a reference.

While this is certainly a crowded market this is a well-featured different aesthetic alternative. The silver metallic finish may make it easier to spot in a crowded equipment bag. That can be a big plus in some working environments and it's priced competitively as well.

I have number of v-mount batteries and this one is very impressive for its price range. It’s got aluminum casing and a nice informative screen that provides a lot of info. Compared to the Neewer ones, the screen is larger and easier to read and give it a premium feel similar to the larger SmallRig batteries I have. The kit comes with the battery, USB-C cable and a manual.

This unit is fairly compact and lightweight and charges very fast using when using PD 100w charger. Included USB-C cable is very good quality and handles the higher load without any issues. It performs similarly to the Neewer PS099E/EP batteries but due to it’s metal casing, it feels more sturdy. Added feature of built-in light, while, gimmicky comes in handy when working in low light conditions. Neewer has very informative display but it feels crowded where it’s easier to read on this one. It pairs well with Godox ML or Colbor W series lights and provides over 50 minutes of power at full brightness at 4300k which is impressive when on the go. It’s got plenty of connections to power USB devices and/or D-tap output. It supports PD 100 out, which makes this a great power bank when needed. Versatility and the quality construction of this battery makes this easy one to recommend. Highly recommended!

Working great on my FX3 cinema setup. The form factor is great. 99Wh is perfect for travel on airplanes. In addition, the actual shape, being a near perfect rectangle makes it fit very nice along other rig components and also allows it to fit in padded bags and foam cases easily.

The outputs are numerous and have been working well for a variety of accessories. The screen on the back has better resolution than my first 2 cellphones hahaha. Seems like overkill but it's useful for long takes when estimating your battery life.

Best part is probably the metal build. This battery is heavier than it could be if it was plastic but it feels like a tank. Very robust.
No faults thus far

My wife stole my battery! This is a great small and compact V-mount. It has plenty of options for power output and the capacity to accommodate. My wife uses it daily for her job, keeping her devices powered up. Keeping it charged is easily done through USB-C. Get a good 65W USB-C charger, and this battery will never disappoint.

This is a nice v mount battery with a d-tap and two usb-c which I like. Powers and charges efficiently and lasts.

A lot of power in a small footprint.
What I think that could be improved is to have 2 D-TAP connectors instead of one but for the rest I like what they are delivering with this product.

This K&F Concept 99Wh V-Mount battery has a TFT display, and without anything plugged in, pressing the activation switch on the left hand side gets it to display the current state of charge. If the battery is being used to power something, a table is displayed with the voltage and the power drain in watts, along with the current level of charge for each outlet.
On the back of the battery is the V-Mount itself along with the standard configuration for charging it up on V-Mount charger or fitting onto a dedicated holder on a camera rig. Oddly, the V-Mount is made from plastic whereas they are normally metal. In addition, there is a small lamp that you can turn on by holding down the power button on the side for a few seconds - switching it off is the same again. This gives you enough light in a place where there is no lighting to see what you are doing and can be very useful.
On the left is the aforementioned power switch which just switches on the display. On the right hand side is the D-Tap socket which you can use for lighting or anything else that takes power from the socket.
On the top are: one USB A; two USB C sockets which including super fast charging (100W); and, a 12V DC socket. The lid for the D-Tap socket comes out and is on a little rod - rotating this takes the cover out of the way.

A truly exceptional energy source suitable for professional use thanks to its large capacity, stability and ability to adapt to various uses and uses. Inside the package, in addition to the battery, there is only a USB-C charging cable and a multilingual user manual. The battery, as you can imagine, is generous in size and weight, this to justify the enormous capacity and great efficiency of this energy source. We are in fact talking about a capacity of 6700 mAh and a maximum voltage of 14.8V with a maximum power of 99Wh. The 100W fast charge is bidirectional via the USB-C connector n°1 present on the upper part together with three other connectors: one DC at 12V, another type C with a maximum power of 65W, one USB type A and finally a D-Tap connector on the side. At the bottom, however, there are the BP electrodes. The battery has a very solid structure and is certainly resistant to shocks. Thanks to the rear clip, the battery can be easily connected to a video camera or camera to provide continuous energy during operation or to recharge one or more devices at the same time, even quickly. On the front there is a color display that indicates first of all the residual charge status in percentage and further down the four positions of the four inputs with indication of voltage and amperage used for each connector. This ensures that you can always have a clear idea of ​​the residual autonomy that you can rely on. The thing that I noticed that convinced me a lot is the fact that the battery remains constant in its work until it reaches zero. Let me explain better: it often happens that power banks and similar below 10% of autonomy suddenly lose the residual charge making them unreliable. This battery remains constant in the supply of energy until the last drop of charge! This allows you to make an accurate estimate of how much time we have left.

I could honestly not be more impressed with this V-Mount battery from the always excellent K&F Concept (one of my favourite brands)

This is a beautiful looking V-Mount battery and whilst looks aren't the most important thing here you have to admit this one is an absolute stunner.

As far as connectivity goes this one does the lot, from D-Tap, Barrel Output, USB and USB-C so you can get stuck in and get your devices powered up from one battery when shooting which is the absolute ideal scenario.

It feels extremely well built and will obviously last a lifetime. The layout is logical too which you can't say the same about for other brands.

The connectivity is on the top of the V-Mount battery which makes connecting up whilst in the middle of a shoot extremely easy.

The digital screen though. That's such a great addition and you can see the power draw as you're going so you know when you need to recharge but with a battery with as much capacity and staying power as this one you should easily be able to go hours/full days depending on what you're powering up.

I'm using mine with my Sony FX3, a monitor and other accessories that I have running into it. I'm not using the D-Tap as a simple USB-C connection is perfect for my needs anyway.

It has a 100W PD power output which is remarkable, and even has a tiny torchlight built into it on the back where the V-Mount connection is! That's strangely a very very useful addition and I've already used it numerous times for helping see in challenging lighting conditions.

K&F Concept are now a premium brand in videography and photography and I've got to the stage where I trust their products implicitly before buying but it's always good to get them in your hand, test and use them, and confirm it for yourself that they've done it yet again.

What a great solid, brilliant and almost futuristic V-Mount this is. I shouldn't be this happy about just a battery but this one makes me smile a lot!
