Not bad for the price point
OK let's keep this simple, this is a 60 dollar cam not a 150 dollar cam. I have a browning special ops which is great but it wasn't 60 dollars so here it goes.Pro:Day time pictures are great for this price point, the are very clear and the colors are spot on.LCD screen is clear and a good size for viewing, much better than my special ops camera.Pictures are taken as they should with the software sensitivity adjustment (unlike my special ops that doesn't have adjustment)Con:Night time pictures are ok but not great. They are a bit blurry but not so much that I would say terrible.Software takes a little getting used too while reviewing pictures.

Awesome!
Wildlife trail cameras can provide a fascinating insight into the nocturnal and daytime movements of elusive species such as otter, deer, foxes and red squirrels.

Blends in well, simple to setup and start getting a photos or videos
This outdoor game camera is well built with stand being open and women’s. Mounting can either be done with the screws or included straps so that it can be attached to a tree or a post. I liked it it uses the microSD card for recording to. Setting it up with the batteries and a microSD card was straightforward to begin being able to capture images. The IR night function works well to get shots even though it is dark out. I like the color and look of it, and I think you can get it to blend in better, because of the green coloring.

Excellent features and picture quality at this price point
This is an excellent camera that offers a great balance of usable features, intuitive setup, and reasonable price. We have seen multiple large coyotes in our area and found out from Maryland wildlife experts that they are breeding with Canadian wolves; they're bigger and far bolder than coyotes I have seen in the past, and seem to be common despite the fact that we live in such a populated area (Washington DC metro). We have a small dog, so we wanted to see how close they're coming to our property. We ordered two cameras...one cheaper than this...and this one is by far the best, worth more than the price difference for ease of use and some of its features. We ended up taking this one to our house in Arizona to monitor mountain lion activity at our property there because it is easier to use and seems more reliable. It takes 8 AA batteries. We couldn't make it work with 4, though some say it does (there is probably a trick we couldn't figure out). No matter. I think we're going to pursue the solar charger since it is Arizona and why not use that? It has a great, user-friendly setup and menu screen. You can preview the images on the screen prior to removing the SD card (so if there's nothing you want to see you don't have to pull the card as we do on the other one). It has a pretty sensitive motion detector (keep it away from low branches or you'll have a bunch of nothing shots) and takes remarkably clear pictures and video (you can set it for photo, video, or both, as well as frame rate, length of video, resolution of video, number of pictures you want when triggered, sound or no, etc). It's very customizable depending on your needs (ie we really just want pics to see what is creeping around our fence). Battery life is ok; it's heavily dependent on settings, but we got about 30 days out of ours and a lot of it was nothing but squirrels (some deer, rabbits but no coyotes). Some of the videos are just black, for whatever reason, which is something I think other reviewers had an issue with. All of the images were viewable, but about 20% of the videos have been "unavailable". We're not sure if we actually missed something or if there is just a bug that creates these files (the file info is not showing a size on par with the other videos), but that's not great. Still, for what we need, and for the price compared to lower end models (which we have) and higher end models (my brother in law is a hunter with a $200+ version that is pretty amazing), we have no complaints about this one.FWIW, we have had a VERY mild winter this year with only a few sub 30°F nights since December, so I can't speak to performance in very cold weather (and now the camera is in Arizona). We are using a Samsung 32GB micro SD card and it's working great. Rain has not bothered it a bit.

Great for a wildlife camera
This is exactly what you need if you are looking to put a camera outdoors in a remote location to see what kind of wildlife passes in the area. As others mentioned, it is easy to set up. It doesn't connect to wifi, you can't view it on your computer unless you connect it with a cable, but it works great at capturing moving objects both during the day and at night. I used it for my backyard because I noticed something was coming by at night and triggering my motion sensor lights during the middle of the night. I was curious but didn't want to stay up all night. This did the trick! I have captured not only raccoons but also a few feral cats coming by to say "hi" to my indoor only cats.

Good Once You Buy Batteries & Card
I was initially annoyed thst I had to go out and buy eight batteries and a micro sd card. The camera is easy to hang and blends well. The instructions were so so. I prefer clear, assume the user knows nothing instructions to the vague ones included. Once set up it does work. Photo qualitg is fairly good. I live on ten acres of mostly wooded area and we have deer, bob cats and bears. Still a thrill to see them. Lately something has been rousing my dogs at three in the morning and I wanted to see what it was. I moved the camera and pointec it in the general direction of the dogs' attention. Got nothing. Put it back where it was and got plenty of deer and a bear. If you are only interested in day time activity you can get away with four batteries.

Takes good pictures and video
I tried using this to capture images of creatures moving along the creek behind my house. I didn’t capture any, so either there were none, or I didn’t push the buttons in the right sequence. So I moved the camera to the front of my house and was able to capture the migration of the trash collection and recycling trucks past my house. I seem to be getting a lot of false triggers, probably due to tree branches moving in the wind. I used a Samsung 32GB microSD Select card that I purchased through Amazon to store the data and that combination worked. I used 8 AA batteries to power the camera, but it is my understanding it can work with 4. I assume that 8 would run the camera for a longer period of time. There is a 3 positon switch for off, test and on. Moving the switch to the test positon allows the adjustment of the setting for still image resolution, delay and video duration among other things. After settings are complete, I pressed the OK button and then the shot button, then moved the switch to the on position. This sequence seemed to work. Just moving it to the on position didn’t, even if the settings had been done before. I was in need of instructions for an idiot.... push this button...do this next sort of thing. Still it did work and I got lots of pictures.

good crittercam for day and night use
I live in a wooded area with a lot of wildlife traffic through my property (deer mostly, at least easily visible) so this device was a natural. This device needs 4, ideally 8 AA batteries (not included, ideally rechargeable and not alkaline). It also needs a 32GB micro SD memory card (not included). It also has some limitations on use, for instance, the sun or water reflections will trigger it, so the unit needs to face northward, according to the instructions. It also should be on a stout upright, and not say, a small tree apt to sway and set off the motion sensor.I’ve had it out for about three weeks now, strapped to a tree on a known animal path, and it is effective, particularly at night. It has picked up numerous deer, and the night visuals (albeit B&W) are fairly sharp and clear. Its motion sensor and night vision capability are good, and daytime pictures are good as well (again, a few deer, and a man corralling a runaway puppy). It seems to stand up to wet conditions, and the device can unhook from the bracket/strap (I have it on a tree) so that I can take it indoors for USB downloads or battery recharge, without disturbing the setup. This device, I’ve found, is easy to program and use. I notice that the “stand knob port” is in fact a standard camera-type screw-in/mount that will fit most camera tripods, if you have a stand or platform that you don’t mind putting in the outdoors.Given that this neighborhood has grey foxes, coyotes at times and the occasional mountain lion, this would be an excellent way to sight them. I highly recommend this device.
