4. Low Self-Discharge: Choose batteries that have a low self-discharge rate to ensure they will hold their charge for long periods of time.

Accessories of the best batteries for trail cameras and their functions:

Good choice for budget trail cam
This budget trail cam is a great option for anyone looking for an affordable solution to their needs. With two different mounting options, simple controls, and decent picture quality and night vision, this trail cam is a great choice for anyone. The only downside is that it requires 8 AA batteries, and rechargeable batteries are not recommended. Nonetheless, this is a great budget option for anyone.

Password Protection Needed
This camera does not come with the option of password protection. Having the security of password protection is an important feature for trail cameras, especially if they are at risk of being stolen.

Super Happy with This Camera
This great little camera exceeded my expectations! Despite being more affordable than other trail cameras I've used, the results were much better. The only shots that weren't usable were due to animals, rather than wind, sun glare, or any other preventable reasons. I'm incredibly satisfied with this camera, and will definitely be buying more.

Easy, Setup and BEAUTIFUL Videos/Photos
This trail cam system is great for the buyer, with a few minor drawbacks. The lack of rechargeable batteries is a bit of a bummer, but overall it's an awesome camera. The convenience of the "watch" to turn on WiFi mode so you don't have to climb the tree to connect is a great feature.

Data Collection with Trail Cameras
Trail cameras for hunters are an essential tool for tracking and understanding the animals in the area. This camera features a unique design, with an LCD on the inside of the case for protection from the elements and theft. It has a compact design and is available at an affordable price, making it easy to have multiple set up for data collection. I have already tested the camera and found it to be reliable, with high Mps providing clear images. I look forward to using it for data collection during hunting season.

A Must-Have Camera for Any Outdoor Enthusiast
This camera is an excellent, ready-to-go device for a great price. It features an internal display and comes with a 32GB SD card, perfect for viewing pictures in the wild. The optional mounting bracket is easy to use and allows for more flexibility in aiming. Setup is simple, and pictures and video are both of good quality. For outdoor activities, this is a must-have camera and is worth every penny.

Beware of False Bargains
I can't recommend this trail cam, despite its seemingly good quality and bargain price. It only lasted a month before it started taking pictures and videos of nothing. Even if it worked, two design issues make it unsuitable for outdoor use. There are much better options out there.

The Long-Lasting Non-Nikon Batteries
These non-Nikon batteries are more expensive than others, but they offer a longer charge life than the cheaper options I've had in the past. I've been using them for the last 5-7 years and they have been fantastic.
