Can I travel with both batteries plugged into the charging base? Will it drain the battery over time, or maybe it's not safe to do so?

Personally, I charge the battery ahead of time or when I arrive at my destination hotel. I then store the battery in my camera bag, separate from the charger. So far, I'm happy with these batteries.
