How well does this tripod work for astrophotography where I need excellent stability?

I have used it for this very reason and picked this up just for the purpose of long exposure photography. I dont have a lens that is quite fast enough yet, but i have some nice shots of the stars and if you set it up for a delay and long exposures it keeps the camera rock solid!

Yes, i have a star streak photo where everything was perfectly smooth. The shutter was open for 186 minutes and it never moved!
