Everything affects the signal. I can mount mine over a window and get one set of channels. Then move it 12” and get twenty additional channels. It’s a good antenna. I encourage you to get it and try it in several positions. I will add the double sided tape they send won’t hold the antenna for more than a couple of days. You’ll need something else.

Coaxial cable is 16.5' and amplifier cord is 5'. Note that coaxial cable doesn't come apart from the antenna so you cannot change out the (black) cable to the antenna if you prefer white or replace the cable if it gets damaged.
