This is a monopod, not a selfie stick. You would shoot the same way as you would without the stick.

It is very sturdy. As far as actual weight, I don’t know. Mine double as hiking/walking sticks snd they hold my 200 pound body and only recently has one of them started slipping when I put sll my weight on it.

No it will not. It does not have a tripod nor an option to attach one. Although, it is a great item for being on the move.

To hold telephoto lens, it is recommended to use a tripod mount ring additionally for better balance. Meanwhile, it is better to hang some heavy thing to the hook to lower the center of gravity on this tripod to make it more sturdy and less prone to vibrations.
