An excellent light weight long range telephoto zoo
It's not fast but I'm NOT using film with a fixed speed and my camera goes up to ISO 100k or so making the small maximum aperture only of concern if I have shots where I care about lower depth of field. It's extremely light and about twice the maximum focal length and a third of the weight of of a faster 70-210mm I also own. Given that I have a 2x converter as well the Canon 100-400mm operates for me between 100mm and 800mm. I got it very cheap due to a Canon discount and a work bonus but given the picture results I've had, it was easily worth it at the discounted price alone. Long range landscape shots like high mountain positions are excellent and either the low weight, stabilization or both make for sharp shots at long range even when hand held. With my 2x converter it completely fills the gap between a 24-105mm and an 800mm super telephoto instead of leaving the gap I have remaining with an existing 70-210mm zoom. I'm very happy with my Canon 100-400mm f5.6-8.

The Canon EF 70-200mm IS is an awesome tack sharp
I shoot with a Canon 20D and before purchasing this lens, used the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.5-5.6 III USM lens. I've always noticed the limitations of this lens when shooting amateur softball. I reviewed the lens lineup at the Canon website and decided on purchasing the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L USM Lens. The 100-400mm is a great lens, but it can be a little soft. For that reason I decided to add the Canon EF 70-200mm 2.8/f IS USM telephoto zoom lens to my lens collection. As an L lens, there are numerous features and is manufactured with high quality materials and a higher level of dust and moisture resistance compared to the standard line of lenses. This pro quality lens is meant for serious photographers with high demands of their equipment. The construction is sturdy and consists of 23 elements in 18 groups. The four Super UD-glass elements largely eliminate the secondary spectrum reducing residual chromatic aberration. An improved 8-blade circular aperture offers a more pleasing out-of-focus image. The Canon EF 70-200mm lens weighs in at about 3.24 lbs/1,470 g, and a minimal focusing distance of 4.3 ft/1.3 m. The front thread accepts 77mm filters, be sure to get a

good quality UV haze filter

to protect the front lens element. This lens is compatible with the

telephoto extenders.Being white, this lens looks out of place, but helps it stay cool when shooting out in the sun. Some people are concerned that being white, it attracts attention to criminals. From my experience, my 20D attracts attention regardless of what lens I put on it. In addition, I most likely have a camera bag and tripod/monopod with me to further attract attention. I personally doubt a thief looking for something to steal is taking the time to evaluate the cost of the item and are more concerned with the ease of taking something they can unload. I try to make things difficult for would be thieves and have my equipment insured as a back up.The dual IS system has two modes. Mode 1 is for stationary subjects while mode two is for moving subjects. It is recommended that the IS function is not used while using a tripod; however I have successfully used this feature while on my monopod. The IS helps to eliminate camera shake and helps stabilize the lens when shooting from a moving vehicle or in low light situations. While there are limitations to what the IS can do, it can give you a few extra stops. Just keep in mind, the IS attempts to eliminate camera movement, not the movement of the subject being photographed. This lens permits for auto or manual focus depending on how the switch is set. There is also a switch to shift from a 1.4m/4.6ft to infinity or 2.5m/8.2ft to infinity.Included with this lens are the tripod mount, lens hood, and storage case. The tripod mount is the best option to use when mounting to a tripod, helping to maintain balance. Mounting the camera instead creates an unbalanced set up that may topple over. The case is a

zippered soft case (LZ1324)

that can also be purchased separately. The

lens hood (ET-86)

is used to reduce lens flare and can protect the front element in certain situations. Often times, Amazon recommends purchasing the lens case and hood, however they are normally included with the lens. The Canon EF 70-200mm is such an awesome lens, it almost fails to compare to the

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM telephoto zoom

. The

EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM telephoto zoom lens

is a well used option for me, but the clarity and sharpness of the 70-200mm IS lens is more refined. I doubt the 100-400mm lens will be replaced by this lens as a favorite. I find the push/pull focusing of the 100-400mm lens to be a benefit that the 70-200mm cannot replace. This lens can be used for portraits, landscape, sports or as a general walk about lens. The f/2.8L combined with the IS makes this lens a good option for certain low light situations. The features add creative versatility. The Canon EF 70-200mm IS lens comes at a price, but it is worth every bit of it.PROS:Incredible clarity and sharpnessQuiet and quick auto-focusFeatures add creative versatilityDual IS systemCONS:Heavy and bulky (This should be expected with these types of lenses)

Good, but...
I have a Canon 5D Mark III and a 100-400mm telephoto. The extender works fine but I discovered after buying it that:- it requires a camera firmware upgrade;- doesn't support AutoFocus with my telephoto f/4.5-5.6L;- makes handling the camera quite cumbersome.Overall it would helped me to have a better sense of the overall experience with my gears before completing the purchase and not afterwords. Amazon.com description but even the Canon official site do not provide a clear understanding of all possible combinations and interactions among components.

Swap this on your lens to double the distance, gre
excellent. purchased for use with the Canon 200-400mm with a Fotodiox adapter for Canon lenses to mount the Samsung NX1. Excellent compatibility and the lovely clarity and color you expect from your Canon lenses. Only issue I had was with the supplier's inability to package the product adequately, and the extender arrived out of it's box and bouncing within the package, but with that said the extender works great and considering the way it arrived it must be pretty durable, though I don't plan on testing this further :P

Best Tamron lens I've owned!!
Sorry about all the photos, it is an awesome lens!! I've owned a few Tamron lenses and loved EACH one!! The Tamron 18-400mm EF Canon mount lens is a great lens, BUT this one I think has a LOT better glass! I am new to Fujifilm and I am still getting used to the X-T3, I had a couple of the Fuji XC lenses and finally I saw this lens here in Amazon. I've been trying to find it other places and everyone was backordered!! I AM VERY HAPPY I FOUND IT HERE!! Great..... NO, AWESOME lens!!! At 18mm the lens will focus at .2 inches, that is 5mm. At 300mm it needs to be back around 2.5 to 3 feet. That is farther back than when I was using my Canon and Tamron 18-400mm lens, I will need to get used to my Fuji and Tamron 18-300mm lens. BUT the photos are MUCH better!!! I HIGHLY recommend this Tamron 18-300mm lens!! I just can't say enough good things about it!!! (hehe I could post several more photos, close focus/macro is great!!)

Compact and stable
Solid little tripod that will mount just about any size lens or camera combination. I have used with with a 400mm Canon lens attached to a Canon MarkII. Very compact fits on my back pack. Easy to adjust to any uneven surface.

Excellent image quality with some caveats
I have to hand it to canon. The M3 is fantastic. I used to be impressed with the T3i and the SL1, but the image quality of the m3 is the best canon camera I have owned. The body is compact, and has an excellent and intuitive layout. The Fold out screen is great for high or low shots including (shudders) Selfies. The best part of the camera, is that with a few inexpensive adapters, I can use nearly any lens ever made. It has revived my relationship with my old manual focus lenses. I have even started perusing thrift shops and have struck gold, finding 2.8 and faster lenses for less than the price of a good burger. Heres what I like and don't like about the camera.Pros:- small size,- good button layout for quick access to most used items - exposure compensation, manual focus zooming,- solid build construction- Wireless image transfer to Iphone ( no wifi network required, but wifi on phone needs to be on)- rapid shutter response times 3 times faster than SL1.- ability to adapt manual focus lenses without extra glass ( FD mount, Nikon mount, pentax mount, screw mount)- Amazing image quality- Focus Peaking when manual focusing is spot on.- Half the size of the SL1- Large screen is easy to see and does reasonably in the sun.Cons- slow focusing with USM and Standard Focus motor lenses (all older technology) I was really disappointed, but not surprised. The hybrid focus system used with the M3 is better geared toward STM system lenses. You will notice a difference compared to just about any of canon's other SLRs and it may be due to the adaptor.- slow start times - 2x as long as the SL1- adapters needed for everything - you need them for every kind of lens you mount to them. the canon eos to M adapter is 200$, the Photodiox one is excellent for 40$- sometimes it's too small. the menu button gets pressed a lot if I am using a large lens.- Heavy. - is half the size of the SL1 and weighs just as much even though it has less going on inside. but is made out of better material.- Screen does well in the sun but can be difficult to see if there is glare.Overall this camera is 4 out of 5 stars. It is everything I wanted from canon except speed.Image included to show the incredible detail and color. It was shot with a 55-250 IS lens with no post processing.

Will this charger work with genuine Canon batteries or just the ones that came with it?
A
Yes, this charger also works with Canon batteries. 100% original compatible.
Q
Will this allow my nikon 1 s1 lenses to mount to my canon t2i?
A
Dear Customer, so sorry to tell you that this adapter won't allow your nikon 1 s1 lenses to mount to my canon t2i.
Q
Will this work on an Olympus 100-400mm IS?
A
The Olympus 100-400mm IS lens size is 72mm, please reconfirm the number mark as "ø" (diameter) symbol, if the number is 72, just need to order same 72mm size filter ,thanks.
Q
Will this head support heavy telephoto lenses?
A
The K&F barely supported a Canon 400mm lens using the support arm of the lens. I found I had to really lock down to get the lens to hold position. I have moved on to another brand.
Q
Will this mount to Olympus pen ft cameras?
A
Unfortunately this is for adapting lenses to Olympus' modern digital Micro 4/3 cameras. It won't work with the Pen FT or similar half-frame film cameras, and you most likely won't find anyone making adapters for these.
