Great telescope for beginners like me!
We were looking for a beginner friendly telescope for terrestrial viewing and to look at some celestial objects. The zoom quality for terrestrial views are great (see 1st photo.. uses 10mm.. this is the result of first trial with the phone adapter). The celestial objects are fun to view as well (took a pic of the moon -2nd photo & jupiter (blob lol) -3rd). I did get better views on a moonless night (got Saturn with baby rings!) but wasn't able to take a photo.A few things why I gave it a 4 star... the barlow lens it came with seems to be blurry.. everytime I use it, the image is out of focus and no adjusting makes it clearer. Also, the mount screw handle thing doesn't tighten cleanly when the scope is angled up. After I focus on an object and tighten the mount so the scope doesn't move... when I release the handle it slightly shifts up and I lose the image and have to find the object again. Not an issue with terrestrial views but a bit annoying when viewing celestial objects, need to reset every time you change lenses. As a last note, the phone adapter is said to work only with the 10mm lens. It fits the other lenses but not sure if it works well (it didn't for the 25mm).

Saturn ring
I'm a beginner but I saw a clear ring of Saturn on the next day I received this telescope from my balcony using 10mm eye piece (I live in an apartment complex in a suburban city with enough light pollution) and I'm very happy! I worried reviews about the tripot. But it was stable enough to observe Saturn ring from the balcony if I tighten all the locks.

Not a waste of your money
If you are like me and are not rich, every purchase is important. Truthfully, for me this was a good buy, especially being new to viewing the sky with a telescope. I learned a lot from what came with the telescope. The focal length of the scope itself is 500mm, but it comes with a 3X Barlow lens, which increases the focal length to 1500mm. This means that you have a magnification maximum of about 150X.Included with the telescope is a 25mm eyepiece and 10mm eyepiece, so your magnification when you look through the telescope is 60X when you use the 25mm (1500/25), and 150X when you use the 10mm (1500/10).The 25mm eyepiece is perfect for viewing the moon. You can see the craters with beautiful clarity. I used the 10mm with my granddaughter, a few nights ago, to view Jupiter. We could see it well and also its main four moons! She said it was "epic".You will have to be patient though. The view finder was not exactly centered with the telescope. This is a little frustrating because it is not easy finding things in the sky. There is some adjusting that you can do on the finder though.Getting the phone adapter adjusted for your cellphone to "see" through the telescope is also a chore. But, take the time during the day first, looking at something like a leaf clump in the top of a tree to learn how to focus the telescope using both eyepieces, and start your adjustments on the finder and the cellphone adapter. The more you use it the better it gets.It is a little difficult to get the telescope stable also. The initial weight of the phone has a tendency to move the scope.Again, if your budget is like mine, working a little extra with your telescope is probably better than spending more than you can afford to get more ease of use.

Perfect starter scope!
I knew nothing about stargazing or what to buy, and for the price, I don't think you can get any better. The setup was simple and great for looking at the moon and stars. With the included eye pieces you can see the moon extremely well (10mm lens used in my photos), but other planets just look like colored dots.If it's your first time, I'd recommend the 20mm lense included to start. It's much easier to locate objects, as the 10mm lens will make the scope super touchy. Which brings me to the slight downside: the tripod. The tripod is super cheap and the slightest breeze causes the scope to shake enough to blur the image. Having a hand on the scope or tripod will cause it to shake a lot. Even getting it set and left untouched, the weight of the scope will cause it to slowly slip down and lose your image.Honestly it's not really a downside in my opinion. The scope is so cheap that the tripod just feels like a bonus. Super impressed with this and would definitely buy again!

Works Well
This is the only connector that seems to work well for the 10mm 5050 LED strip lights. Some tips for installation: Don't peel away the paper exposing the sticky underside or the strip won't slip in (leave the paper in place for that 1/2 cm or so) Also, use a jeweler's screwdriver to bend up the tin terminals just a tiny bit to allow the copper contact points to slip under them easily. When the clip snaps in place, it will set them back down.

Compact
The size is nice but it also effects the light composition. Using the 3x plus the 10mm makes everything look dark. Best set up is 3x plus the 25mm, for good quality.

Q
Has anyone experienced any colour casting with these filters? Also, any vingetting on ultrawide lenses such as the Tokina 11-16 / 11-20? Thanks
A
Works fine throughout the range on my 10-20 wide angle lens on a cropped sensor. Although I suspect that 10mm would be the absolute limit, any wider and I think vignetting would occur. I don't use the extreme 10mm end that often however I was expecting some vignetting but I seem to have been lucky and gotten away with it. This is a really nice set of filters. Hope this helps.
Q
Will this work on my sony a6000 and tokina minolta 100-300mm macro zoom?
A
Yes
Q
Too loose/there is gap between lens and adapter ring
A
  1. If there is ever any more than a slight amount of rotational play, you may want to try tightening the lens mount adapter so it will hold the lens tighter to the mount. There are 3 flanges in the middle of the adapter (what the lens locks onto) that are split open slightly, this gap is what gives the tension that holds the lens tight to the body. Over time and with use these gaps decrease in size, no longer pulling the lens tight to the adapter, which allows the lens to move inside the mount more than it should.
  2. To tighten the fit, get a slim metal object (a #1.5 or #2.0 small flat eyeglass screwdriver is ideal) and insert it into the slit to open it up just a little bit (see images below, make sure to do it to all 3 evenly). The more you open the gap, the tighter the lens will be to the adapter; too much and the lens will have a hard time mounting so make sure to do it just a little bit at a time to all 3 flanges evenly, it doesn’t take much at all to get a tight fit.Note: please do not use too much strength, or the shrapnel will be damaged.

Q
What kind of rear and front caps would I buy to go on this since it doesn't come with any?
A
I don't think you need any. There is no glass.
Q
is this mount adapter work with panasonic GX-7 body & nikkor dx 18-200 lens.
A
The adapter will mount the lens and you will be able to use it manually. However, my copy of the adapter does not allow the lens to be fully mounted all the way until it clicks into place. It doesn't quite make it, but it's still very solidly mounted. Also, the manual aperture linkage doesn't work properly (on my copy, at least) so exposure is controlled only by shutter speed and/or ISO. You will be able to manually focus and zoom the lens but no VR, of course. It will be a frustrating experience. Instead, get a 14-140 Panasonic zoom if you can afford it!
