I was looking for a very snug portable case so I could put the 28mm pancake lens on my Fuji X-E1 and just toss it into my purse. Effectively turning it into a very very good ultra-portable. This fit the bill perfectly and I imagine it would work for most small mirrorless cameras and while I am using a pancake, there's definitely room for a lense up to a few inches in size.

Are use this Lens mount on my new canon M 50, unfortunately the camera was defective but the lense mount did its job.

Im using it on my Nikon 28mm f/1.8 and Nikon 85mm f/1.8. Same diameter on both lenses.

I am relatively new to the surveillance market. After doing some research I settled on testing a couple of brands, Amcrest being one. It has a heavy metal construction and all of the components have clearly been precisely manufactured. The box comes with everything you need to make sure that your camera is safely installed.INTERFACEThe modern Amcrest interface really shines on this product. The preview mode allows for crisp and clear playback on what the camera is looking at. I have seen another product that does not do this, so it is a nice advantage to Amcrest. The rich set of available features are very easy to edit and you can also tune your video quality quite easily to help it match up to the environment it is in. The camera also has such a strong feature set that an NVR would not be required due to its built-in functionality.VIDEOThe video quality on this camera is very high. It handles a mix of lighting well where it was installed, which is sometime quite uneven at various times during the day. Details from a variety of observation lengths get picked up. This is a massive improvement over the cameras that came with my security system.AUDIOHaving a microphone gives this a big leg up on the competition. Although the sound is a little tinny, having audio at all is a huge advantage.POWERMy camera is powered by PoE. While in standalone live preview mode, I have noted that the camera draws between 4.6-5.8W.SUMMARYI am very happy with this product! I was planning on going with a different vendor based on prior research I have done, but I think I will be sticking with Amcrest going forward as I find the IP8M-T2499EW-28MM to be very compelling.

This review is for the IP8M-T2499EW-28MM that I have used for the past year. I run a amcrest NVR that I have all my cameras connected to. I have that connected to my phone via the Amcrest View Pro app. I have two of these cameras mounted above my garage door (roughly 7’ above the ground). The ability of this camera to see in low light conditions is unbelievable. I also love the fact that it has a microphone so you can listen to what is going on. Several weeks ago, we had a group of thugs go through our neighborhood and ransacked all the cars that had their doors left unlocked. Luckily I was able to capture a really good picture of one of the sleaze bags testing my doors, but it also picked up a conversation they were having with each other while ransacking my next door neighbors truck. The footage was given to the local sheriff dept which led to the arrest of several teenagers. The resolution is great and ability to zoom in digitally helps a lot. I try to use ambient lighting instead of the infrared because it helps identify the person.

I bought this filter for my Tamron 17-28mm e-mount lens and love it. I haven't noticed any major color distortion and the sharpness doesn't seem to be affected at all either. The low profile seems to negate most vignetting you may encounter, but it does show up (unsurprisingly) if you stack this with another filter like a CPL. The gold ring is a nice touch too. I would absolutely buy these again as you get great results for the money.

When I purchased this lens for my Canon Rebel xsi, I knew it would give me a cropped image equivalent to 27-64mm. I already have a 28-70 lens, that becomes about 44-115 on my Rebel. I wanted to get back the 28mm (semi-wide) view but did not want a lens that would not work on a full-frame camera as I expect to upgrade at some point. So I opted for this lens. What I didn't realize, or had forgotten, was that this lens has a close focus of 11 inches. Which means that even though on the wide end it is equivalent to 28mm, it still is capable of producing an image with a much wider perspective than a standard 28mm on a full-frame. The distortion of angles at the 17mm setting with objects up close is still significant enough to get some really unique shots. F/4 doesn't cause me any problems because when I'm indoors I just set ISO to automatic and it really doesn't impact my shooting at all. Outdoors, who needs f/2.8 with a wide angle anyway.I haven't seen any reviews that have mentioned how the close focus ability impacts the perception of wide angle. Anyway, I'm very pleased with the purchase. Only thing that could be better would be an all-metal body on the lens. It feels a bit less luxurious due to the plastic barrel.Just my 2 cents. **Also** Sounds crazy...but true...somehow my copy of this lens is close-focusing at 5 or 6 inches rather than 11. Not sure if this is normal on an APS-C camera or not, but I'm a little mystified as to how this is happening!
