It's big. It's heavy. But it does an awesome job. I have to carry this lens around for a whole day at a time, and by the end of the day it's tiring. But, it's the only lens that does what I need. Low light hand held, quality images. The f2.8 combined with IS mean I can handhold for just about all my shots. No blur even down to 1/60 second at full 200mm.The included lens hood adds a lot to the length, but it works very well. It's held in place with a simple "push and turn" lock, so it won't fall off, even if you knock the lens against something. It will also keep the rain off the front lens (unless it's being blown straight at you, but then nothing works, does it?)The autofocus has 2 settings. One for only when you are shooting at distance, and the other for closer work. I only use the longer setting. This is meant to speed up autofocussing if you know you will not be coming in close. Also, once you have locked in with autofocus, you can just turn the focus ring to over-ride autofocus. No fiddling with buttons on the camera, or having to always use manual focus (although that is an option). I frequently use auto to get close, then quickly adjust manually to get the final exact result I want. One negative is the minimum focus distance. From memory, it's about 1.4m (or about 4 to 5 feet). It's not a problem for me, but check this limit if you need to come in close. The tripod support bracket is easily removeable if you only do handheld. Saves a little on the weight, and also makes for a much easier lens to hold and operate. So, if you need a fast lens with good image quality, just get this lens. If size/weight/$$$ are issues, then look to the non-IS or f4.Happy shooting :)

One of the best videography lenses on the market f
Loved my nifty fifty....love this one even more. Improved bokeh, improved image quality and focus, improved autofocus....pretty much improved everything over Canon's previous f1.8 50mm.Someone mentioned that the autofocus is slower than other STM lenses...this has not been my experience. Snappy, fast focus, that nails it the first time around with none of that annoying bounce. Coupled with the 70D's awesome focus system, this lens is a videographer's dream. The only, minor complaint I have is the focus by wire system. I wish, wish, wish there would have been a true mechanical focus on the lens. This new 50mm has a much improved focus ring, that fits a follow focus very well. With a mechanical focusing system, this lens would have been perfect. But it is still great, and one of the top videography lenses for Canon shooters, IMHO.

Great camera, some caveats, great seller
I've had this camera since September 2021, and purchased it because I needed a decent webcam for work. It's not perfect, but for the price and the versatility it affords, it's great!I was able to use it for Zoom and self-recording (my main use cases), and on top of that I was also able to use it to capture some very hard-to-capture images and videos where I don't think a regular webcam would have worked the same. The lens is also swappable since it's a regular CS mount lens. I haven't yet put this to good use but I have purchased some wide angle M12 lenses that I plan on testing on it once I get some M12 to CS adapters for it.The USB cable is nice and long, though it is on the thick side, and the plug on the back of the camera is USB Type A, so it's quite big. That does make it more durable, but it also makes it a little harder to position. A right angle adapter helped my situation. It's now mounted to a friction arm on my desk so I can move it wherever I need it.The audio capture from it... well... it's not good, I'll say that. A separate mic will likely be much better. The lens itself also had some issues with quality, particularly with the little screws that keep the different lens rings for adjusting the zoom, iris, and focus from moving. One started to act up, and I wasn't able to adjust one of the rings properly (focus ring). Thankfully the seller was able to send a replacement. Final caveat: because it doesn't have autofocus, you'll have to play with the zoom and focus to get the focus right. I sit quite a bit away from the camera, beyond arm's reach, so I've had to adjust it a few times before I locked it down. I wanted to get an autofocus lens for it, but I'm not sure how I would set it up (all the autofocus lenses I've found have an extra plug, and there's nowhere to plug it in on this camera body). If you're looking for a great camera and don't need autofocus or a mic, I highly recommend this camera!

Appears to work well!
After returning first unit due to inability to autofocus consistently (adapter fit was slightly loose), tried replacement unit and was very pleased that performance compares favorably with both Canon and Viltrox models. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend testing unit as soon as possible after receipt.

Excellent camera for the money.
This has been my everyday camera for more than a year, and it has been outstanding in almost every way. The Continuous autofocus is fast enough for sports shooting, and the 11 frames per second is so fast that I usually turn it down to medium even for sports. The telephoto lens is sharp enough that you will not need to invest in a more expensive lens, and it is bright enough for indoor sports as long as they are well-lit.The "walk around" lens is sharper than the mini-lens that normally comes with this package, and has much less distortion. Most people opt for the mini lens because it is so much more portable. With this camera, I actually went ahead and bout the stabilized 35mm Sony lens, and use that for almost every situation. It is bright enough to shoot in low light, and the large aperture (F1.8) gives the background a really nice out-of-focus effect. That lens is not included in this package, but the package is so cheap you can buy it separately, and your total investment will still be under $1000. At that price range you will be hard-pressed to come up with anything better.Pros: - Very fast autofocus, it beats meany cameras twice the price. - 24 MP is enough that you can crop your pictures (a lot) and still have print quality. - The colors and detail are very good for the price, and the RAW files are excellent. - The built-in flash is good enough that you can use it for backfill, and you can easily tilt it. - The viewfinder is excellent.Cons: - No touchscreen. - Not weatherproof, (but for this price, not many are.) - Battery life is only about average, maybe a bit below average. - No constant F2.8 zoom lenses available (primes yes, zooms no)

Boring in all the right ways to be pretty dang goo
35mm focal length on full frame-- not the most extreme wide angle nor a crazy long focal length that isolates your subject and gets rid of everything else. Just... normal-ish. Easier to use for walk around stuff than 50mm in my experience, but depending on your preferences ymmv.Image stabilized... but in my experience it hasn't made enough of a difference to change my shooting habits.f/1.8, usable. Not gonna blur the heck out of everything on a lens this wide but it allows shooting in pretty dark conditions.Decently sharp, not incredibly so.SLOW autofocus, but it works.Reasonably small.Good close focusing distance. It all adds up to a lens that doesn't particularly excite me to use, but one that I could leave on my camera all the time and not be disappointed by. It just sorta works and the only thing that regularly gets in the way is the slow autofocus motor.Would highly recommend a 3rd party lens hood for this, the Canon one isn't anywhere near as big as a 35mm can benefit from.

Q
can take a few photos
A
It depends on many factors, the mode of your lens autofocus/whether you use flash/whether you shut down after taking the picture or wait for the camera to automatically sleep
Q
Can the aperture be controlled on my Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L II USM Lens?
A
KF06.466 is an automatic adapter, achieving autofocus, aperture control, EXIF information transmission, lens anti-shake and other functions.
Q
Does the autofocus work with the Nikon lens on the Canon camera?
A
This adapter is non-electronic and so will not enable electronic communication between lens and camera, so no autofocus.
Q
I do not see if this adapter or any other model will match panasonic lumix dmc-g85 with nikon af-s dx nikkor 55-300mm? please confirm?
A
This adapter fits the Panasonic G85 perfectly. If your lens is a Nikon G lens, then you should have no problems. The version of this adapter I have is M43 (Micro 4/3rd) to M42 lens. Hope this helps.
Q
Trying to use with my canon 50 mm 1.8 but it won’t focus? Does this not work with this lens?
A
yeah, this is just a basic adapter... you need to get a metabones adapter if you want the lens to "talk" to the camera ($650).... that's the whole point of the metabones
