49mm is the go-to size for Sony NEX lenses, the kit zooms and the 16mm, 20mm, 35mm, 50mm all have 49mm threads. This is a well-made replacement.

This is my second ND1000 filter from GOBE, now I bought a 77mm for my tokina 11-16mm lens I am a landscape photographer, The experience with GOBE products is great the filter was build with high quality and is easy to attach to the lens. The filter came with a metal housing for protection. Great choice.

Well, I'm in love with this lens.Compression, image quality, CA, sharpness, contrast - all of it is on point. It's well built, balanced, feels solid, has a nicer "whiter" finish than it's predecessor, takes a 77mm filter, comes with lens hood (as I think all lenses should) - and did I mention this thing takes some seriously crispy photos?I dabble in portraiture, but I'm way more into nightscape/landscape photography, and let me tell you this lens is now used more than the 24-70 or the 85mm. Simply put, if you have the spare cash and want a phenomenal tele, get this lens and thank yourself later. Pat yourself on the back, you made a sound investment.If you really want to see if it's worth it before you buy one, go rent one for a weekend and just have fun. The moment you send it back, you'l be wanting to buy your very own.I regret nothing about dropping a couple grand on this hefty piece of glass.

The main problem I had with this filter was that it only partially affected a strip in the sky when I was taking landscape pics. Other than that I think this would have been a great CP Filter for lenses maybe as wide as 24mm. I was trying to use it with a 16mm wide angle lens on a full frame camera. The low profile it sits at was also great because it wasn't showing itself on the pictures I took at 16mm. I noticed the filter was also built well. I would definitely consider purchasing this filter again, but only for my 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses.

Un lente de 16mm, que tiene una apertura a 2.8. Vengo de usar cámaras full frame de Canon DSLR con ópticas de la serie L, cómo el EF 17-40mm f/4 el cual me encantaba el resultado. Al cambiarme a mirrorlens me daba preocupación la calidad de este 16mm, pero me dejo sorprendido. No le pide en nada al 17-40 e incluso a un 16-35mm f2.8 que también use. La calidad muy buena, nítido y enfoque relativamente rápido. Muy ligero, lo puedes traer en la bolsa del pantalón o chamarra.Contras:-lente prime, no zoom. (yo no tengo problema pero muchos a lo mejor si).-Aberración cromática (se arregla en post)-Este yo creo es el más importante, tiene mucha distorsión en los extremos. (De igual forma se arregla en Post, y queda muy bien la imagen).-No trae parasol y por el momento en México no lo venden.

I watched numerous videos about that lens on YouTube, and read a few reviews on amazon.ca before buying it. Almost everything they said and wrote was right. I was convinced, so i bought it. So far I've taken many photos with it and most of them are perfectly charp with a soft bokeh with an aperture of f 1.8. The focusing ring is very smooth (when using manual focus). However, it is not completely silent on auto focus mode, but it is a fantastic lens and I really love it.

Fits and works well with my Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. Doesn't cause any vignetting issues when using it on a wide lens

I love this lens! It's very light. I've walked around with this for 13hrs no problem. Focuses very fast and smooth. Also very quiet. Not silent to the cameras mic though, just to your ears if someone is talking.Very sharp. Very little CA. I haven't actually needed to remove any CA from raw that I can remember. It does have vignetting around the edges but very little. Update your raw profiles and it will remove it. The distortion is almost none.BOKEH is very nice. Not super creamy. But I like BOKEH that is round and distinct. This is like that. However anything that is slightly off focus is a total loss. The sharpness is great but if you are off its way off. So practice a lot of using 1.8. I use 2.8 and the BOKEH is still nice and you get sharper images with a little room for error. Have fun. This is my favorite lens now. And I own tons of L lenses. I still can't seem to put this one down.
