I keep this filter on my main 18-55mm lens on my Sony NEX-5R. I have never had any issues with it. I've taken out in the snow, rain, and dirt/dust. It has never scratched and has been great for protecting my camera and enhancing my photos. I have a pack of these threaded filters and can only stack two before the vignetting gets too severe.This is definitely essential camera gear to have!

I have had camera experience in the past with point and shoot cameras and wanted to purchase a DSLR but this was too good of a deal to turn down. It is such a powerful camera in such a little body. I would recommend this to anyone even people that already have a DSLR. this little thing takes fantastic images and you can definitely grow with it and learn a lot. I know people complain the auto focus is a little slow but I never felt like I missed a moment because of auto focus issues. The standard 18-55mm lens takes great pictures and I chose it over the 22mm lens because I can pick up the 22mm for $100 if I decide to get it down the road but the 18-55mm will be more expensive so just getting more for my money right now.

I really liked this filter. I got this filter with the intention of the Solar eclipse that just occured. I am very happy that I got it and will be using again.

Though I am just learning to use the camera I am fully convinced that it is a superior product.NOTE, however that the web page images of items "Also Bought" incorrectly includes a 55mm (diameter) Tiffen UV Protection Filter. This is not the correct size for 18-55mm focal length lens! You need 58mm filter size for this lens and also for the 55-250mm focal length lens. This misleading situation lead to misordering 55mm UV and Polarizing filters that had to be returned. Since these were gifts, the distant buyer will get a refund, or replacement filters(?) instead of sending replacements to me. I think filter size should be shown next to the camera to assure that buyers order the correct accessories, 58mm here. I do not know whether this problem repeats on other camera models.

This filter fits perfectly on my canon 18-55mm and 55-250mm lenses, and is not loose that it would fall easily. It does the job you pay for, but picture quality could have been abit better in my opinion. But for beginners this is perfect considering the price and practicality. The package came closed and all sealed and the filter was inside it's box all safe and undamaged.

This lens gets a LOT more light than the 18-55mm lens, it is much easier to take photos in dark environments such as indoors. Not to mention the camera getting into the range of point and shoot size with this lens, I can fit the camera in my pocket!This lens seems to produce noticeably better closeups as well, and the focus feels like it has a longer and smoother range (doesn't just jump out to infinity) than the 18-55.My only issue with this lens is the AF continues to reset for several seconds after the camera is turned off, forcing you to wait to put your lens cap back on. It made me start putting the cap on before I turn the camera off.

This telescope has great viewing capabilities, but i wish i could find the solar filter that goes with it.

Fits nicely into my Sony 55mm lens. Love the variable filter and the photo quality is very good.
