I bought this for my Canon EFS 17-55 mm f/2.8 IS USM. I am still using it on the same lens and is doing a very good job without distorting or altering the images. Great stuff

Canon EOS-M firmware v2.0.2. I used this with the Canon 135mm f/2.0L USM today, from an open-roof tour bus, which was stopped for most of the shots. Effective focal lengths of 216mm. It was a bright cloudy day and 99% of the 106 images I took of a variety of architecture and statues were excellent focus. At f/5.6, shutter speeds were 1/2000s. I took several of these shots as the bus started moving, but I managed to keep the image centered and waited for the focus beep.

Used as a protective filter for my Canon 10-22mm USM, and I'm really satisfied with it.

I'm a huge fan of prime lens and 50mm is one of those sweet spot focal lengths that should be in every camera bag, if not on the camera itself! Canon produced a massive hit with the affordable f1.8 50mm, dubbed the nifty-fifty. It was succeeded by the II, which sadly saw some corners cut in build quality with the transition to a plastic base. (While I have commented in prior reviews that I challenge the "need" for metal mounts in smaller, lighter lenses, I can't help but admit that I prefer a metal mount.). This latest iteration of the venerable "nifty-fifty" sees the return of the metal mount and upgrades the focus mechanism to the silently speedy STM stepping motor!OpticsWhat's not to love about a f1.8 lens? The optics are excellent as you would expect from the reputation of its prior versions. Talk about a fast lens, you can take some pretty incredible shots in poor light conditions with this. Beautiful bokeh! It provides excellent separation of your subject from the background, as if they jump out of the picture. I was very pleased with my results on a recent flower viewing trip. Terrific color representation, minimal chromatic aberration and distortion. It will not disappoint!Focus mechanismIf you haven't tried STM yet, prepare to be amazed. Fast and quiet! Great for video work too. I'm very happy with the Canon STM lineup.Build QualityAs mentioned previously, the metal mount has returned. (I can hear the cheering!). The barrel feels a little less sturdy than the 24mm and 40mm pancakes, but all in all, it's an improvement over the prior version. Well made lens with metal mount. Sharp and a real treat to use. For the money Canon should add a lens hood but cheap ones can be found. Along with my 18-150 this could be the perfect pair.

This polarizer is being used on a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. It removes glare from water and darkens the sky as it should. I don't see any problem with this polarizer.

About a year ago I bought the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens. At the time, it appealed much more to me than its (more than three times the price) "big brother" - the lens did well for me but left me wanting MORE! I just got this lens, EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM. It is worth every penny - those of you who have used an IS lens before will know what to expect in that regard, however if you have never owned a lens with canon's "L" glass, you are in for a treat! The color and image quality are far above the cheaper canon line. And the fixed f/2.8 is a fantastic advantage to have. I do mostly indoor concert photography and this lens has been a dream come true. (i know that sounds lame... check one out and you will see what I mean.!) If the fixed f stop isn't that big of a deal to you, im sure the f/4 is probably a good lens as well....however I can definitely say that this was a smart buy!

Fits right in to my Canon 17-85mm IS USM lens. Does what its supposed to do without any degradation in image quality.
