While the photo show "Canon" on the cap, it is not there. But a squeeze-cap for a 77mm lens is difficult to obtain.

Great quality for the cost
I ordered this 77mm Variable ND (along with the 77mm CPL) from Amazon US, shipped to Japan where I live, & got it in 10 days, which is faster than average. The company is great with communication regarding tracking your package, & it arrived neatly packaged & in perfect condition. I've only had a chance to take it out once, so I'll update this review if anything changes, but here are my thoughts so far:PROS: Easy to attach / remove (the CPL is a bit harder to take off), nice, even tones, does what it's supposed to. The quality of the glass & the performance are great considering the cost. The construction feels solid.CONS: When used at darker settings you can start to get the X pattern (when the two pieces of overlapping glass in the filter don't line up perfectly they can create a kind of shadowy X in the middle of your shot.) This is pretty common among Variable ND filters, especially at wider angles with darker settings. I'm using it on a Canon 6D with a 24-70 L lens, & it was more noticeable in the 24-35mm range when set in or just before the "Max" setting. It's not totally unexpected from a variable filter, though, so I can't fault it too much. It kind of comes with the territory, so it's not really a problem.OVERALL: I recommend this lens if you're looking for a low cost, high quality Variable ND filter. The key word here is VARIABLE, meaning you're looking for convenience. If you want a filter that avoids the X pattern & maybe performs a bit more consistently, I'd recommend some regular ND filters, which can be stacked if needed. I'm considering buying the ND 1000 (from Gobe, I really like this company) but I still plan on getting a lot of use from this variable one. As an added bonus, Gobe plants 5 trees for each purchase, which makes me happy.

Very nice to have on hand
This is my first variable ND filter and Im very happy with it. I got the 77mm version because its a very common size and I already have three lenses that it could fit. Plus with adapters, I can get my smaller lenses to work as well. The filter. Overall its great. Metal construction with a very smooth ring. The stops are marked on the ring and the overall construction is very good.Again this is my first variable ND and so far I'm enjoying it very much.Price is affordable too.

Quality protective filter
I am using this 77mm filter to protect my wife's Nikon 24-120mm VR lens on her D750. The fit is perfect. The filter appears to be of high quality, and they even supply a cleaning cloth.

Do not buy an 82mm lens cap or hood. That size is
The threading of the filter for the lens cap or threaded hood is not 82mm. I just purchased an 82mm lens cap and hood only to find out it is too large. Looks more like it needs to be a 73mm to 75mm thread. The 72mm thread for my lens is correct, however, and works well.Update 11/4/2020: Ordered a 77mm to 82mm step up ring. The ring fits and means that this is a 77mm thread and not an 82mm thread for the cap and hood. If you buy this filter, you will need a hood and lens cap for a 77mm thread.

Q
I have a Canon camera with a 77mm lens, will this filter pack fit it?
A
Supporting the largest filter size is 82mm, 77mm lens size is ok, thanks.
Q
Are there (Female) threads on the front of this filter "Can you stack (77mm filters) on top of this filter".
A
For this 77mm ND filter, the lens cap/hood should be 86mm.
Q
Does it have threads on both sides to add another filter?
A
Yes, it has threads on both sides but they do not have the same diameter. For example, if the filter is 77mm, the outer part is 82mm.
Q
What lens hood will work for this filter?
A
I have the 77mm version of this and I am NOT able to use a lens hood on my Canon 17-40mm wide angle once the filter is on. I haven't tried putting on the hood first and then trying to screw on the filter yet. That's not to say that all lens hoods won't work but for me it does not under the scenario described above.
Q
Will this work on a Canon XA11 video camera?
A
Yes , this filter can be used on Canon XA11.
