I use an older but high-end Canon DSLR to take Nature and Wildlife photos on hikes. The camera is so old that it won’t back the CF card up to my iPad using a Canon USB cable and the Apple camera adapter for iOS. My workaround was to back up the CF card using a separate newer Canon camera and the same cable and adapter. I didn’t think this inexpensive DenicMic card reader would work, but the price was so cheap, I couldn’t resist giving it a try. Well, it works perfectly and the backup is speedy. Now I leave the iPad at home and back the images up to my phone. I can edit and share images immediately from wherever I’m taking images. (I haven’t had the card reader long enough to give a durability rating, but I wanted to give 5 stars because I’m pleased with the product)

This small flash performs well. It works perfectly with the canon eos-m as designed. A compact flash for a compact camera.

I hardly ever right reviews, but this flash impressed me so much, I have to write one.I have used Canon 550 and 580Ex flashes. I owned a Canon 480. I never liked using any of them. I thought I was just not a "flash-y" type of photographer...well, this changed my mind! It was hard NOT to make a good photo. Very easy to use. Simple, manual function: either brighter or less bright. That's it. Easy peasy.Highly recommend.Edited 10/25/18: While I still highly recommend this flash and still use them, I think they don't work well after a while. For the price, it is a photo-saver if you can't afford a better one. But I have bought three now because the last two started not responding every time I took the photo. It would flash only every other photo or so, after an hour or two of photographing.

I have a Canon SX10 IS and needed a flash far more capable than the built-in one. I also didn't want something more capable or more expensive than my camera. The 270EX fits the bill nicely! It has a two position zoom (manually operated), four position bounce head (no rotation), and is ultra compact and light-weight. While it has no external buttons, it does have a vast array of settings that can be accessed in manual mode through the camera's menus. Otherwise, the camera will automatically handle the flash's settings. I use lithium batteries (2xAA) and have taken perhaps 100 pictures with the flash and am still on the original set. Recycle time is a bit slow at full power (remember: lithiums) but can keep up with the camera's "quick-fire" mode if on reduced output. Do note that this is not a "serious" flash so long-range shots were lost beyond fifty feet or so. I also purchased the Omni-bounce diffuser for the flash and have been quite pleased with the results.I do have one gripe. The zoom must be in the "tele" position in order to access the bounce feature and the zoom will not retract once in bouce. It will slide back, just not lock and will spring back into "tele" mode once released. Why?! Why must I be forced to have a hot focus flash in bounce? Diffuser to the rescue...I would not recommend this flash for serious SLR owners unless you need a second, compact flash for quick shots instead of carrying a ton of gear. If you have one of the SLR-type "all in ones" like an SX or G series Canon, this is a huge improvment over the built-in flash!

If i had known, i would have ordered several to use as a compact wireless multiple flash set up.with newer canon cameras (after 2012) you have good controls from within the camera menus. Wonderful options.

The canon adapter has been unavailable for a while, so I thought I'd try this one out so I could actually use my new R5. So far it works flawlessly!
