The perfect flash for my Canon G10. It is small enough to not overbalance the camera, but still delivers much more power than the camera flash. I take many photos in large, high ceiling areas where I am 20 to 30 feet from my subject and the G10 flash doesn't provide enough light for good exposures like the 270EX does. Small enough to carry anywhere. The 270EX head tilts for bounce flash and has 2 focal length positions. The only feature missing is horizontal swivel to allow bouncing off a wall. Works on 2 AA rechargeable batteries.

Until recently, my only concession to digital photography was the purchase of inexpensive Canon point-n-shoots. As film photography has become a greater burden and digital has caught up in terms of quality while surpassing in convenience and affordability, my discovery of this little gem at a bargain price was perfect timing. Adding a $15 adapter, I can use may ancient but excellent FD mount Canon lenses - think F1 and AE-1 cameras. Auto-focus speed doesn't matter to me because I still prefer to manually set almost everything. That said, the AF performance of the EOS M seems equivalent to that of my son's Nikon 1.My purchases for my entry into serious digital photography to date include: the EOS M with Speedlite 90EX and EOS M 18-55mm IS lense: an SD card (PNY 64 GB High Speed SDXC Class 10): a spare battery (Opteka LP-E12 LPE12 2000mAh Battery Pack): a lense adapter (Fotasy Canon FD Lens to EOS M Lens); and a neck strap (OP/TECH USA System Connector Super Pro A).

The 270 EX is great! I bought it to use mainly with my Canon G10 but I can also use it with my Canon 5D. This size is great for easy portability. I find myself using it more than my 430 EX. I wish it could rotate 180 degrees, but that is the trade to obtain the ease of use and portability.Good Flash!

Filter looks fine, however the Canon lens cap for the camcorder did not fit very well on the filter, so I will have to get another lens cap.

The canon adapter has been unavailable for a while, so I thought I'd try this one out so I could actually use my new R5. So far it works flawlessly!
