For what's it's worth, this is the first modern projector I've ever bought/owned. The only other projector I own is an 8mmm/Super 8 one that I use to show old movies my grandfather used to take when I was a kid. So, I'm not an expert but it's easy to tell this is a solid piece of technology.I purchased it for my company as we do presentations in front of large groups with a powerpoint presentation. I wanted something to bring so I didn't have to depend on these locations having TV/projector/etc. To make this work with a Mac laptop, you only need to have a Lightning to HDMI adapter. You simply plug one HDMI end into HDMI 1 on back of Goodee projector and the other into the adapter (which should be plugged into your computer obv). Then boom - you see your computer screen through the projector. Couldn't be easier. Picture quality it perfect.Afte I tested that feature out and realized how nice this thing was, I wanted to test out a movie. I used a similar HDMI adapter for my iPhone and just like that we were watching a movie on my living room wall. For reference, that TV is a 60in and looks tiny compared to the image on the wall above. Also lights were on and the image was still crisp and sharp. The sound was impressive but connecting to additional speakers will be your best bet for a true theater experience. The fan on the projector is low but and the machine didn't get hot after 2 hours of use.Can't wait until summer so we can bring this outside and watch movies ...well, anywhere!

I got the M1 mini And bought an HDMI adapter for my I phone that allowed Netflix ect. Projector is easy to use and works great. There is no tripod threads on the bottom. If you will be using in loud areas and needing volume get the m1 mini plus for Bluetooth speakers

This mini projector is a great buy in my opinion. I wasn't exactly sure what to expect in terms of quality because of how cheap it was compared to other projectors, but it actually exceeded my expectations. It does everything you would want it to do without having to shell out $100+ especially if your intentions are just to use at home with family and friends. It's light weight with decent picture quality and even comes with its own mini remote control. It's pretty bright so you won't need to be in complete darkness to use it. And the speakers are actually loud enough and clear even with the fan going (can't really hear the fan if not sitting right near it, plus you can plug in external speakers for better experience). It comes with a HDMI to HDMI cable, which is great for me since I'll mostly be using it with a laptop, but I think you may need to buy an HDMI adapter if you plan to use your phone or have the new macbook. It has a screw for a tripod at the bottom, but it's not centered on the projector, so I couldn't balance it on the tripod that I had. Also, I noticed it doesn't have keystone adjustment, and the focus will start to get fuzzy from a farther distance if you want a bigger image size, so there's a range of distance you need to be in but it's still big enough size to project. Other than that, you do have to plug it in to a power source (no battery), and it doesn't have bluetooth, but I'm not mad at either of those things honestly. I would definitely say this projector was worth it so far. I'm not sure about its longevity, but I would say it'll last long enough if you're careful and it's properly taken care of as instructed in the manual.

The canon adapter has been unavailable for a while, so I thought I'd try this one out so I could actually use my new R5. So far it works flawlessly!
