Does what it's supposed to
I use this as a lens protection and it seems well built. Optics show no aberrations. Haven't tested it against any bumps etc so so for now. it does the job.

Great value
Well built, excellent optics. Comes with mount for a tripod so you can have it slightly raise.

Good Baby Monitor Mount
We have been using this mount for last few months now, and it is pretty sturdy. It fits our Infant Optics monitor well. We are able to mount it to the nightstand, and look at our baby with the monitor in a fairly good distance. Although I wish the length of the mount can be a little longer, but as long as you have a furniture tall enough, it will be no problem. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, and wish I could get it earlier.

Good, High Resolution Optics in a Rough Package
I read the reviews and when the price dropped back down to $49, I could not resist. When They arrived I finally got to see that they are rather large. My 7X50 binoculars are big compared to the typical pair but were dwarfed by this Giant. The optics looked well made as did the body that held the prisms. The eyepieces and the ends that held the objective lenses looked a bit sketchy. This was especially true of the rubber parts and rubber coatings on those areas. There was some extra flashing and the rubber on the objective lens housing was a little baggy. The focusing mechanism was a bit stiff but quite precise. It also did not move as one looked through the pair.A tripod mount is a good thing to have and this came with one. Ten power is the usual limit for hand holding and at 15 power, the user may need some help. I quickly found the tripod mount was rather flimsy and would wobble left and right. This was quickly remedied by filling all voids in the tripod mount with epoxy putty. The $5 spent was far less than buying a more substantial mount and I doubt if other mounts wouldnow be as strong. Now that the binoculars could be put on a sturdy stand, I tried them out by looking at a street sign that was about 500 yards away. ( I checked and it is a half mile!) One could not only read the street name but the smaller numbers on it as well. These were about 2 - 3 inches tall. The optics, at least in the center are very good. There are some uncoated lens surfaces within the binoculars as flaring and ghosting were sometimes issues in the daytime. Contrast was good but lower than in binoculars with high quality coatings. At night, the high resolution and light gathering were great helps. Contrast was good but would be better with better coatings. However, it would no longer be in the same price range. They are a great thing to own. One can grab the pair, go outside and do some quick star gazing without the need to set up anything. One can put it on a tripod for an even better view but that is still easier than using a telescope. The optics are very good and I can live the shortfalls of the body. The cost is well worth what you get.

Seems like it might be good for travel.
Haven't had much of an opportunity to test this in the wild. However, at first blush the optics seem to be very good. I will need to see how the images look when they are enlarged and printed. My only concern is that I need to take my phone out of its case (thick wallet case) in order to seat the lens properly. It is also tricky to center the clip-on lens without creating a vignette effect.I am hoping to be able to use this instead of lugging my DSL with me when I travel.

Works well with Infant Optics DXR-8
I have been using this mount for more than a year and it has held up very well. I use it with the Infant Optics DXR-8 camera. It clamps the camera well and still allows the camera to pan and tilt. The flex on the arm is quite stiff so it has no problems carrying the weight of the camera. Overall a very good product.

An excellent lens that keeps the EOS M form factor
This is an excellent lens. It is sharp, and fast. Meaning it has good optics, and a low F2 number, for great low light performance, and bokeh. The lens is a macro, with a minimum focusing distance under half a foot! Although I have wanted a macro lens for years, I could never bring myself to fork out the money, just to take pictures of flowers and things...This lens not only fits the bill for a small form factor, but has a great focusing range, with sharp optics.See example photos below...http://www.pbase.com/markcas/eosmtestpics

Feel solid and optics are great.
Solid heavy duty lens with good optics. They screw on perfectly and function just as good as Tiffen and B&W filters that I have. I've ordered several of these.

Q
Good for hunting optics?
A
it could work with hunting optics as long as the hunting optics have a 1/4 screw mount.
Q
Will this work on my sony a6000 and tokina minolta 100-300mm macro zoom?
A
Yes
Q
Too loose/there is gap between lens and adapter ring
A
  1. If there is ever any more than a slight amount of rotational play, you may want to try tightening the lens mount adapter so it will hold the lens tighter to the mount. There are 3 flanges in the middle of the adapter (what the lens locks onto) that are split open slightly, this gap is what gives the tension that holds the lens tight to the body. Over time and with use these gaps decrease in size, no longer pulling the lens tight to the adapter, which allows the lens to move inside the mount more than it should.
  2. To tighten the fit, get a slim metal object (a #1.5 or #2.0 small flat eyeglass screwdriver is ideal) and insert it into the slit to open it up just a little bit (see images below, make sure to do it to all 3 evenly). The more you open the gap, the tighter the lens will be to the adapter; too much and the lens will have a hard time mounting so make sure to do it just a little bit at a time to all 3 flanges evenly, it doesn’t take much at all to get a tight fit.Note: please do not use too much strength, or the shrapnel will be damaged.

Q
What kind of rear and front caps would I buy to go on this since it doesn't come with any?
A
I don't think you need any. There is no glass.
Q
Are these lens filters glass or plastic?
A
Plastic
