Why does details say "Material Plastic", whats is "plastic" referring to?
A
The plastic is probably a component inside (adjustment ring slider?). The threads and external build is a metal. I’ve had no issues and I have several in different sizes.

Is there a way to calibrate the temperature or a sensor that can be adjusted for the temperature? Showing 84F in daytime snow.

It must be defective. Mine worked fine right out of the box. Nothing on the menu allows adjustment of temperature.

it could work with hunting optics as long as the hunting optics have a 1/4 screw mount.
