We bought this for our grandsons Easter basket. He said it’s a lot of fun and he’s getting great video.

I've purchased my laptop, iPad Pro 11" (2G, Cellular), the fancy iPad Pro cover/keyboard, my laptop, and this GoPro, as open-box or refurbished. Not a single item has been defective in the slightest way and I saved hundreds of dollars so far. No reason to pay full-price for these items.Also, before settling on my current iPad Pro 11", I had other versions, all refurbished, all were just fine (no cosmetic damages or malfunctions), and again, saved a lot of money. I was able to return the items when no longer needed at no cost to me.So don't be a sucker- try buying refurbished items first and if something is wrong, Amazon and other stores have generous return policies.Anyhow, the biggest gripe I have with GoPro is their crappy desktop software. GPS signal reception by these things is incredibly weak...although when using 3rd-party apps, I can see GPS data was encoded in the video, but the GoPro software won't ever display it.The Hero 8 is much improved over the Hero 7 and earlier, but the Hero 9 isn't much more than a, "My male part is bigger than yours". Can't watch 5K video in 5K if your GPU and display don't support it, so what's the point? (yes, I said 5K, because that's what the 9 advertises, IIRC) Also, the larger the resolution, the more space you'll need on your SD card.Anyhow, that's my rant. Go away now.

I knew this gopro was good but after using it for myself and actually seeing all the features and everything for myself I was blown away even more.The image stability is out of this world and I found it easy to connect to my phone and see what the angel is for riding my bike.I know it's easier to connect to iPhones but I use a android and it still didn't take too long to set up and doesn't take too long to connect everytime.I only bought 1 for now but will 100% definitely get more for more angles and better footage.

I wasn't expecting too much. I'd read quite a few reviews online in my search to find an inexpensive action camera. I just didn't feel comfortable shelling out several hundred dollars on something I might only use a few times a year. After reading/watching the reviews, I settled on this camera. And I've been pleasantly surprised. I've used it with an strap clip that came from an accessory pack and with a handlebar mount. It's been able to deliver very satisfactory video in each setting. The microphone is not great, so if you're vlogging or something, you may need an external one. And once you get used to the camera software, changing functions and starting the camera were easy enough. The iOS app leaves a lot to be desired if you're using it as a car camera, but it works. And you'll need the right SD card (seriously, there are cards recommended) and a computer with a slot to get your videos and pictures off. That's really my only complaint, I haven't figured out how to get the files from the camera to the computer without taking out the SD card and plugging it into the computer. Maybe if I read the manual again. I also highly recommend downloading the manual off AKASO's site, because it made getting started much easier. But overall, I've been pretty pleased with this camera. And it certainly gives quite a lot of bang for buck compared to the big name action cams.

Easy to install. Up and running within 5 minutes of taking out of the package. Seriously, just read the directions on the Amazon listing, it isn't hard at all. Use your fingernail to separate thin blue layer from sticky white layer. Easy to cut to desired length. WARNING: the end you cut off will no longer work, there will only be 1 strip of light. You can't cut it to make multiple little strips, just make 1 strip shorter.We have this above our bed underneath a floating shelf and it's the perfect amount of light for reading, watching TV, or just ambiance and looking cool.These are legit, don't read the ridiculous reviews on here. I will for sure be buying more of these to put up throughout my house. Great value for the price.
