LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!
So this is my first DSLR camera I've purchased and I have to say, I couldn't be more pleased with it! I have several photographer friends and all have recommended Canon brand cameras. I can definitely see why, great pictures at an affordable price :) I purchased this camera from Best Buy with a bundle offer they had at that time. I ended up getting a telephoto lens in addition to the lens in the kit. Totally worth it! I use the telephoto lens more than the kit lens...I feel that the pictures look better with it. Such a great buy for someone just getting started in photography or upgrading from a point-and-shoot camera. Definitely recommend this camera...with the telephoto lens, of course.

Quick to install. Works great. Great quality. You should really consider making a telephoto lens.

Very well made!
I gave only 1 star for zoom because it covers the telephoto lens on my phone and doesn’t come with its own zoom. But I gotta say, I’m really happy with the quality of this product! I thought it would be a cheap little lens. But it’s not!

Outstanding Lens
This is simply the best telephoto lens I have ever used. It arrived about 3 weeks ago and has performed flawlessly on both my 30D and my film camera (the old EOS 630). The blurred backround at wider aperture settings is satisfying and seamless, while the contrast, color and sharpness of the image are remarkable. There is a very slight, but barely perceptible, softening of the image on film when the lens is wide open at f=2.8, but by f=3.5 I can't detect any lack of sharpness even on enlargements. The IS works perfectly. There is a little motor noise (very soft) while the IS is engaged, but nothing that would disturb a nearby subject. As others have stated, IS is no complete panacea for hand-held shooting in near total darkness, but I have been able to get a lot of great exposures that would have been impossible with any other telephoto.Another huge plus is that this lens allows full time manual focus; you don't have to flip a switch to override the auto focus. All you need to do is start turning the focus ring. This saves a lot of time and missed shots when the autofocus is choosing something other than what you want to shoot. On the other hand this is not a "walk-around" lens. It is very serviceable off the tripod for short sessions, or even hanging around for a couple of hours. If you watch Art Wolfe on "Journeys To The Edge" (highly recommended show on PBS)he uses this lens a lot, and often hand carries it around without using the neck strap. But it does get heavy after a while. And it is a long, fixed length lens. But the weight and length are just the price we have to pay for a lens that retains its maximum 2.8 aperture through its entire range. If you are serious about the images you create, and can afford the price, this lens is an investment you cannot afford to pass up.

Great lens, I needed a telephoto and everyone pointed me towards this one. It is probably my largest single investment so far in photo equipment but so far its worth it.

Q
I have a canon ae1 camera with alot of lenses will i be able to use those lenses on my canon eos t7 camera?
A
The adapter for a EOS body to a Canon FD manual is the adapter needed. The Canon AE1 uses the FD/FL lens mount. The one I purchased works without a hitch. Mine is a K&F Concept Pro lens mount for Canon FD, FL lenses. From a F1 to a 5D Mark 4 with no issue.
Q
Will this fit on my canon 60d? Thanks
A
FD-EOS fit for Canon FD mount lens and canon EF mount camera body. canon 60d is EF mount, so the adapter ring can work with your camera, but you need to check your lens mount. could you pls let us know your lens specific model? service(AT)kentfaith(DO NOT)com, Please note: It is not same between Canon FD mount and EF mount, this adapter ring is only for Canon FD mount lens, please contact us if you want to purchase for Canon EF mount lens.
Q
FD series adapter ring installation and operation steps.
A

There are two types of FD mounts
FD/FL Breech-Mount (with a silver ring, you need to rotate the silver ring when attachment and removal), breech-lock mounts are identified by the silver ring
New-FD Bayonet Mount, bayonet mounts are identified by a red dot next to the lens release button

Here are the steps to install breech-mount version

  1. Set your lens to smallest except for auto(bayonet mount only)
  2. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the OPEN side
  3. Line up the red dot with your lens and adapter ring(if yours is bayonet mount, just turn the adapter ring towards clockwise direction to make lens and adapter tight, then ignore the 4th step)
  4. Turn your lens ring towards counterclockwise direction to make the adapter ring tight with your lens
  5. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the LOCK side to engage the aperture closing pin

Operating the adapter

  1. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the adapter; on your lens, set the aperture to the smallest opening and use the adapter ring
  2. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the lens; place the adapter ring on the small aperture(Lock place) and control the aperture on the lens

Q
Does this adapter allow for canon fd lenses to focus to infinity on sony e-mount mirrorless cameras?
A
yes, i had no problems with infinity focus with this adapter. the only FD mount lens i use anymore with my sony is a vivitar 20mm, and i pretty much only shoot infinity focus with it.
Q
Could this work with a g7? Just trying to clarify.
A
If you are referring to the Panasonic DMC-G7, then yes, it will adapt any Canon FD mount lens to any micro 4/3 mount camera. Including yours.
