Does the filter connector system on a sony 12-24 mm limit the field of vision?

With my Fuji with the 10-24 I have small field of view restrictions at 10-15.

Yes, the stand folds up under the "Nexigo" section. It will sit flat on a desk or stand. The camera does tilt up and down as well as side to side.

The eis cannot be selected in the menu. is it on all the time?

Distortion correction has to be off for eis to work, and vice versa.

Is possible to use a different head?

I've used the head that comes with the tripod for various shooting situations, including lay-flat photography.

I would say...a qualified "yes." You are going to have a nice wide field-of-view and sharp focus. The 40mm objectives are not going to allow a huge amount of light gathering but you will have portability and that counts for a lot - a light, sharp and accurate optic is more useful than a large and bulky choice. Even if that means giving up some "reach."
