Fits the Sony VFA49R1 Filter Adapter with a filter inserted. I wish it had an option to connect some type of lanyard to attach to the extra lanyard hole on the camera, but unfortunately it does not. You can find ones on Amazon without the Sony name printed on it for cheaper, but if you want one with the name this seems to be sturdy and of good quality.

Extremely well made. It does take a little time and intelligence to balance properly, but once balanced, works great. Engineering is excellent except for the disparity of the 1/4-20 threads on the gimbal and the 3/8" threads on the bottom of the stage. Kind of an odd thing, but they've remedied that with a thread adapter. Might have been better to just have 3/8" threads on the gimbal to avoid needing the adapter. Other than that, no complaints.Caveat: I have been trained on several models of the actual Steadicam so I am accustomed to complex, time-consuming balancing. Comparatively, this device is a breeze. It will take practice to get good at shooting with it. But so does any other aspect of camera operation.Here's something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere - there's a 3/8" threaded hole in the bottom of the gimbal handle which can be used to mount the device to a tripod or stand to make balancing a lot easier. Don't know why they don't mention that.Happy shooting!

Works flawlessly - using a Minolta MD to Sony Nex adapter.Fit is perfect, and the adapter comes off the body with ease - same with removing lens from adapter.This adapter has allowed me to use all of my old MD/MC lenses instead of letting them sit around for the occasion when I haul out my X-700.

I'm using this gimbal (PH-10) with my Sony a7iii and Sony 200-600 lens. I have the Sony GPX1EM Grip Extension attached the camera body for a more comfortable grip, and this adds a little weight on the back end. I'm able to balance the combination almost perfectly. When you're at the extremes: pointing the lens down (forward) or up (backword), there's a little tendency to continue rotating in that direction when you let go of the camera. This is because the lens mount on the 200-600 is just slightly too tall and puts the vertical center of mass a few millimeters too high...even at the lowest vertical setting on the gimbal. A little bit of tension on the gimbal's upper knob stops this, while still allowing free range of motion. This could probably be fixed by replacing the lens foot with a shorter one...if only Sony made their feet arca-swiss compatible, everyone would be happy.

This gimbal is so useful to me as a video content creator. I got this gimbal because I upgraded to iPhone 14 Pro Max and the DJI OM4 kind of struggles to handle the weight of the new iPhone.The M3 has more powerful motors and is really designed for mirrorless cameras. It also works very well with my Sony ZV-E10 and A5100. The joystick, wheels control and touch screen menu options areIntuitive.There are many other features that I like:1. The included USB-C to Micro-USB cables allows me to do Record/Stop on Sony cameras, and the power cable can provide power to charge the camera.2. A lightning to USB-C cable can power the phone while shooting.3. Built-in flashlight with easy control! No need to mount video lights!4. Easy to balance, the brackets are all metal.5. Phone app required to activate the device but it also allows access to set Timelapse key points (can be sent on the gimbal too, but phone app is nicer)6. Motion capturing from the phone app to mirror the movement of the phone to the gimbal!7. Fast USB-C charging at around 12 watts.8. It has a quick release plate!9. 1/4 adapter for mounting other accessories. I’m thinking of getting a SmallRig handle with a battery clamp to supply power to the gimbal while shooting.

Part 1 - Minolta MD to Sony NEX adapterTechnically, it slightly overshoots infinity but the issue is easily corrected by dialing back the focus ring just a tad --- Not exact but clearly better than not-at-all.Although very light due to extensive aluminum usage, the build quality and fit-and-finish of the adapter is superb. Connections on the lens and camera mount sides are tight and precise --- absolutely, zero slop. The top of the lens release button is flattened making the lens removal process very easy and comfortable.Other notes:- There are no electrical connections so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens itself- When mounting the lens, turn the adapter clockwise till you hear a "click"- Tested with a Minolta 85mm f/1.7 Rokkor-X MD lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera-----------------------Part 2 - Nikon Ai to Sony NEX adapterEdit: Based on my positive experience with the Minolta MD adapter, I also purchased the Nikon Ai adapter later.As with the Minolta MD adapter, the Nikon Ai version focuses beyond infinity a tiny bit. Fortunately, the same solution applies - dial back the focus ring and the horizon will become crystal clear. The build quality is impeccable and the finish is smooth and clean of burrs or machine marks. Connections on both sides are taut and precise with zero play.Additional notes for Nikon Ai adapter:- No electrical connections present so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens.- Unlike the Minolta MD adapter, mounting the lens for Nikon adapter requires a counter-clockwise turn until you hear the "click" of the locking mechanism- Tested with a Nikon Micro Nikkor 55m f/2.8 Ai-S MF lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera

This gimbal works great with my Sony ZV-E10 with the standard 16-50mm lens AND the 10-18mm lens. The 10-18mm does add extra weight but the gimbal handles it great. This is perfect for mirrorless cameras.
