Good Quality 58mm Filter Set with the Bonus of Bei
Having just bought a new lens that had a filter size different to any filters I currently owned, I was interested to see this Neewer 58mm set which provides all the basic filters.Even though the set is 58mm it could be used on lenses with a smaller filter size if desired by using an adapter ring. Such rings are not expensive. The set consists of a UV filter, a CPL filter, and four neutral density filters - ND4, ND8, ND16, and ND32. What is interesting about this set is that there are two adapter rings that allow the filters to be used on GoPro cameras. Along with the two provided lens caps all the filters and adapters fit into the provided storage case. The listing states the adapters and filters are compatible with GoPro Hero models 8, 7, 6, 5. As I have a GoPro Hero 8, this was very much a case of killing two birds with one stone as the saying goes.In use the filters all screwed on to my new lens without issue. The filters are slimline and as such are a little fiddly to install but they did all fit with a little bit of effort on my part. The filters also screwed into the GoPro adapter without problem as well.I found the CPL filter to be a little stiffer than I personally like but after ten minutes turning it loosened up to where I was happy with it.I have other Neewer products, and these filters are certainly up to their usual standard. Considering you are getting six filters, two adapters, and two lens caps, for this price I would recommend the set to anyone looking for an affordable basic set

I'm satisfied with the pictures it takes
I've had mine for over 2 weeks now and used it extensively without problems. I do wish it had regular batteries rather than built in non-removable batteries. I wanted to use mine as a dash-cam for my car when I go on trips. No such adapter is included with the camera in order for it to be used as a dash-cam. So! I went to CostCo and they have an accessory kit for the GoPro camera for $19.99. It does have an adapter to use the GoPro as a dash cam but it is not designed for the Vivitar. A few minutes of rigging using the CostCo kit and I had my dash came set up for this camera! I'm satisfied with the pictures it takes. Both still and video. For the price you can't beat it. I purchased mine at Target for less than $50.00. I believe it was on sale.

Need Camera Mount Adapter for Insta360 Cameras
Marketed for GoPro, Insta360 and many other action cameras however if you have an Insta360 camera (or others) you will need a camera mount adapter not included with this kit that costs around $10.I have an Insta360 X2 and I'll probably just buy the Cage Protection Metal Frame for$28. It gives the option to mount additional accessories such as microphone, lights, etc.

5+Black Numerous BAD Issues Resolved
This is my second review of this camera. The first time I gave it a ONE STAR review, but I have been able to resolve many of my issues. The GoPro team has finally turned their Tech Support line back on and even though they have outsourced overseas, I was able to get my problems resolved.First and most important, this camera's Write/Read speed is far greater than my old 3+ Silver. That said, the micro SD card from my old camera IS NOT COMPATIBLE! This is important because it will sort of work, but not really and you lose most of your video. Go to the GoPro site and find a listing of the few SD card that are compatible. I got a 64MG Lexar for less than my old SanDisk 32MG and it resolved 100% of my "function" issues. Save yourself tons of aggravation and get the "right" card from the start. Many of the one star reviews are because of this issue alone I believe.Secondly, the video quality was on par with the very first digital camera's first produced. Splotchy, and like filming through water drops that were moving. I would say it was about 1/10th the quality of my old 3+ Silver and That was a deal breaker for me. I then took the camera into a bright light area and tried to inspect the lens as best I could. I realized that the inside of the housing and the camera lens itself came from the factory filthy. Once I figured out how to open the lens cover, it appeared someone with oil on their fingers put this camera together. I methodically cleaned both the lens and the housing, it was disgusting. It has made all the difference in the world as I think the sensor was trying to focus on the closest item, the dirty lens.I have now taken film inside of a building of people showing dogs at a show, outdoor film of dogs running and jumping, inside the house dog play, and films from my dash while driving my truck. The quality of everything is what I had heard I should have and I am very pleased.I have noted that this new camera, even though it doesn't need a housing, has extremely poor audio pick up. I may have to keep looking for a setting that might improve this. Also, if you leave the back LED on while filming, your battery will only last about 30-45 minutes of film time. There is a setting where it will turn off after 60 seconds which seems to about double the battery life. Also, I found that if I use the USB that came with the camera to charge the battery in the camera, it take 6-8 hours to get a full charge. I therefore bought the $50 dual fast charger and two more batteries, so I have three batteries every time I go out...and no surprise, the old batteries are NOT compatible with this new camera. Many of the touch screen commands are far superior to the old Menu system. That alone makes this a better camera. But, they also encourage you to download and use their new QUIK program, and I will never figure out why. I am glad I kept my old GoPro Studio. Oh yeah, my PC wil recognize that the 5+Black is attached, but it will not download or play anything from it and I'm using WIN10. If I remove the SD card and plug it in direct to my PC, everything works and I can download/play/transfer/etc. all. My 3+ did the same thing, so no big deal.I hope that once the GoPro folks get through this massive trade in program, that they then will go back to a Tech Department that is responsive to questions and problems. To date they have never tried to answer any of my inquiries except to send me a survey after I finally talked to their outsource tech folks. When they do that, I may give this camera a 5 Star.

This is a great 360° camera - I just wish they mod
The media could not be loaded.

Great camera - lots of fun to use and has fantastic image stabilization out of the box.360° recording is dead simple, as is the supplied application for editing. With the right plugins, can also be done directly in Adobe Premiere after exporting the equirectilinear videos.I would HIGHLY recommend that you always use the lens protectors since the lenses protrude from the base enough that they become a liability. Better to replace a lens protector than to send a camera back for lens replacement! There are FAR better choices if all you want is a front-facing action camera. They won't necessarily have as wide a field of view as the GoPro Max in "Hero mode" but they will offer modern video sizes (i.e. more than 1440 - seriously GoPro .. its 2021). Perhaps this can be a firmware update to push Hero mode into 2022 territory. This camera was bought for a very specific purpose, one that I am sure it will excel at given some serious simulation / practice. Awesome for 360° work where a moderately waterproof camera is necessary. I do not intend to do underwater work with this but wanted seriously "splash proof"

Not much of an upgrade for scuba diving
If your a diver this may not be worth up grading too!! I bought this for my wife because she has flooded more than one camera. I am not sure how but it has happened. Anyway I was thinking that this camera being water proof to 30 feet if the case leaked a little no big deal. However you must remove the lens cover which seals the lens to make it water proof in order for it to fit in the dive housing. So basically gopro did not design a housing for this camera. You must remove parts (the lens cover) to make it fit. Also I was hoping that since the viewing screen was built in instead of an attachment that has to be removed to get to the battery cover it would be easier to replace after each dive. Not really the battery is just as cumbersome as before. Regarding the battery: Gopro has programmed the 5 so it will not accept after market batteries. I am sure someone will eventually find away around this. 25% of the Gopro batteries we took on the trip failed or one out of the four. They happily replaced it once we got back but doing four dives a day without anyway to recharge the battery on the boat the last dive almost always ended in no full battery available. None of the other gopro batteries would will fit this camera. The new stability management is pretty cool but if you are like us and only using your camera for diving how much stability management do you really need. We could see no difference from our gopro 4 and 5 regarding the smoothness of the video. All being said this is a good camera but if your are going to buy it for diving thinking it will be a big upgrade it;s not.
