Most people into photography will instantly recognize the name K&F Concept as makers of high quality photographic equipment and these GoPro lens filters are no different. Quality multi coated optics are used in both the CPL and ND filters.With this lens set you get three ND filters (ND stands for Neutral Density - more on this in a minute) and one circular polarize filter.The CPL filter is a circular polarize lens filter. These are used for reducing glare in your videos and photos. It also helps brings out the deep blue in skies when shooting the sky, clouds, etc.You can rotate the front of the CPL lens which is a great feature as it allows you to see what effect it's having on your color in real time as you turn it.The ND, or neutral density filters act basically as 'sunglasses' for your camera's lens and sensor. They come in 8, 16 and 32 stops reduction which gives you plenty of variety and choice.One fairly typical use of a ND filter would be for taking a photo of a waterfall. You want that classic picture of a static landscape BUT with the water showing movement and flow.In order to achieve this, you'd have to deliberately overexpose the shot in order to give the water motion however in doing this, everything else in the picture (besides the waterfall) will be blown out and overexposed to the point of almost total whiteness!Now, if you place a ND filter on the lens, you're forcing the shutter to stay open longer resulting in a perfectly exposed picture with the flowing water in the waterfall.This is a great lens kit to have in your GoPro gear bag.

I haven’t gotten a chance to use this camera in the water yet but I’m looking forward to trying it out while I scuba dive! So far it’s an impressive little camera and way more affordable than others.

I just came back from vacation & had the opportunity to use it on 2 occasions. Both times I pretty much used the default camera settings.The first time use was on a jet boat with camera mounted to my head. The motion stabilization worked well as the boat ride was jarring. The video was flawless.Second time use was scuba diving, max depths of 45'. I mounted it to the floating hand hold. I dived 3 times, 2 with a red lens filter attached and 1 without lens filter but with camera set to dive mode. Slight difference in blues & greens but can't really say which was better. The video was excellent. I noticed a little moisture in the camera's waterproof container after 3rd dive.The only con I can think off concerns the time stamp. Time stamp reverts to 01-01-2000 upon battery removal, meaning every time battery comes out you have to reset the time. Good luck with that.All in all, I would definitely recommend purchase.

SECOND REVIEW>>>>My first review was factual in that the housing failed somewhere on a 70 foot dive which then fried the camera. My Testing of the camera prior to the dive gave great results with the camera, but salt water is not a friend to electronics. The up side to the failure was that the folks gave me a full replacement. I couldn’t be happier. I would buy from these folk again in a heartbeat. I was very impressed with their response to the problem. I didn’t find any fault with the first camera and do not expect an issue with the one I just received. As a precaution I may test the housing before my next dive. I do not expect a problem, but will do it now with any underwater equipment housings. Again, this is a company you can trust to work any issues. Thanks Guys/Gals. FIRST REVIEW>>>> I Bought it for underwater use. Tested it out before diving and all worked well. Seemed like it would do the job as I intended it to.Case leaked some time before I turned the camera on under water....and when I went to turn the camera on.... that was all there was to it. When I got back to shore and removed camera from housing and found the water inside I inspected everything and could not find an issue. Did the rice trick but the camera was toast. No apparent issue with housing that I can see. Suggest an anyone that plans to use this underwater first take the case to depth, without the camera, (my dive was around 70 ft or 23 m) to assure it isn't leaking.

If your a diver this may not be worth up grading too!! I bought this for my wife because she has flooded more than one camera. I am not sure how but it has happened. Anyway I was thinking that this camera being water proof to 30 feet if the case leaked a little no big deal. However you must remove the lens cover which seals the lens to make it water proof in order for it to fit in the dive housing. So basically gopro did not design a housing for this camera. You must remove parts (the lens cover) to make it fit. Also I was hoping that since the viewing screen was built in instead of an attachment that has to be removed to get to the battery cover it would be easier to replace after each dive. Not really the battery is just as cumbersome as before. Regarding the battery: Gopro has programmed the 5 so it will not accept after market batteries. I am sure someone will eventually find away around this. 25% of the Gopro batteries we took on the trip failed or one out of the four. They happily replaced it once we got back but doing four dives a day without anyway to recharge the battery on the boat the last dive almost always ended in no full battery available. None of the other gopro batteries would will fit this camera. The new stability management is pretty cool but if you are like us and only using your camera for diving how much stability management do you really need. We could see no difference from our gopro 4 and 5 regarding the smoothness of the video. All being said this is a good camera but if your are going to buy it for diving thinking it will be a big upgrade it;s not.

Haven't used too much of the items in here, but the "selfie" stick got a lot of use and people can't believe that it came in a kit with a ton of other stuff for like $23. The selfie stick alone is probably worth at least $10. The sealed yellow dive handle filled up with water on a dive that only went down to 25' and now slowly leaks out sea water, but whatever. Good value kit.

I took this camera out for a 3 tank dive in southern California back in October. The camera works really well. I was able to change modes and Adjust settings using the buttons while under water. The shutter button on the water housing doesn't quite reach the shutter button on the camera so I had to improvise a little and put something in between the two. Battery life seems good. I was shooting and filming for about 30 minutes each dive and barely went through the fist battery. I had some setting wrong for the video, I think the ISO or exposure, so my videos came out completely washed out. Overall, good camera for what you pay. The latch on the camera housing does seem pretty cheap and if anything is going to break it's going to be that
