I got this primarily to use shooting wildlife around my home with my Nikon D850 and 200-500 lens on the RRS 34L tripod and BH-55 ball head. Maybe someday I’ll get the full blown Wimberley 200 gimbal head, but this works amazingly well so the only benefit might be weight savings if I’m traveling. Very high quality construction and easy to use. Would have been nice if it came with the storage pouch instead of having to buy it separately.

I plan to use the lens for bird photography, but it has a great range 150-500 mm. It is a bit heavy but doable hand held. Looking forward to the possible shots in the future.

The conditions are so harsh while on game drives in Kenya that you must have a filter on your Nikon 200 500 lens. You can take if off when you're ready to shoot. It's an added layer of protection. Quality product and packaging. I highly recommend.

A brilliant product I can now carry my heavy 500 lens on walks looking for wildlife to snap. upto 2hrs no problem. Easy to carry with weight distribution Easy to lift camera for shooting. I emailed support to ask about my set up and received very good info before purchase through Amazon , and proved to be exactly as specified. Would recommend fully.

I got this for my birthday this week and have found it to be a great little lens. Much better than spending $500+ for some good "glass" for the DSLR. It provides clear bright pictures with great definition. I wish I could say the same about the instructional videos on the web site. I haven't had a chance to use the light unit as yet. Unfortunately with the iPhone 7 you have the lightning plug rather than the earbud plug so the flash won't plug into the camera but you can still hold it for illumination purposes. Would I buy it again yes, just for the lenses themselves. It seems like a great price for a good lens.

I'd originally planned to get the RF 100-500 mm L lens, but it costs nearly $3,000. At well under 20 percent of that price, this is a great value. Sure, it's a little slower and only 400 mm at most, but it's a lot lighter and takes very good pictures. I haven't compared it directly against that L lens, but pictures are comparable to or slightly better than the (e.g.) Tamron 150-600 mm G2 EF, although with less reach (but a delight to carry around). I'm very glad that I bought this (100-400 mm) lens.

The best and cheapest prime lens. Ofcourse other prime lenses that are like $500 or $2000 are better but honestly not by thaaat much. This lens is like $150 and it really does the job. Bokeh is great and I love how much light you get from such a huge aperture. The lens came undamaged and properly packaged!

Does the job with most small cameras and lighting fixtures, but I wouldn't hang a Hasselblad on it....LOL
