I purchased this adapter since the Canon version was unavailable at the time. I was impressed with the solid build and so far it does the job well with most of my lenses. I did see some vignetting on the corners when testing with my EPS 55-250 mm kit lens at full extension but everything worked well with my 70-200 mm lens even with the 2x extender attached. Macro extension tubes also worked with any issue. The tripod mount seems like a useless appendage so I made that disappear as soon as it came out of the box. Considering that that the price line was about 34% less than the Canon version, I am very happy.

My husband and I bought this camera for our 35th anniversary because we wanted to take a driving tour through the redwood forests of California and the ocean along the Oregon coast. We figured the trip would be a warm up and review of what the camera could do. We are so pleased with the photos taken with this Canon Rebel TSi 12 Megapixel Camera. It came with an 18-55 mm lens and we purchased a 75-300 mm lens also. Neither of us are pro's with a camera but I loved the feature that lets you take multiple pictures one after the other. We had also purchased a High-speed SD memory disk and were able to get fantastic photos of waves as they crest, curl, and crash on shore. I was even able to get photos of sea gulls flying and with the larger lens they look wonderful. We also toured the lighthouses along the Oregon Coast and the camera took great pictures of those too, no mater what the distance was. I cannot wait to go on another whale watch cruise this summer here in Seattle. This time I think I will actually be able to capture the Orca pods and not have photos of the water only because my old camera took too long to focus before the picture would shoot. I was afraid that the bigger camera would be a pain to carry around but it really was not. Although bigger than my smaller digital camera, it is lightweight and was not really the problem I thought it would be. We both love this camera.

I was looking for a hi-res webcam to use with OBS. I do Youtubes on electronics and need the ability to zoom into fine pitch circuit boards using an overhead boom. Image quality is great. The 5-50 mm zoom lens is decent, it does the job. A little fiddly, but for the price....I am trying to up the lens quality. I bought an adapter that allows me to use my lovely old Minolta MD manual (film) lenses with it. It needs a Cmount to Minolta MD adapter (~$20) plus about 6-8mm of Cmount extender tubes. If you do this, keep in mind that because of the smaller sensor, low mm (25-35mm) lenses are needed. I haven't yet found the perfect low mm zoom lens for it. Maybe a 28-70mm Minolta MD lens. There are many on Ebay. Have fun!Update. Using 35mm camera lenses works, but they are too close for this small sensor camera. Even my 28mm lens has a very small field of view unless you put the camera several feet away. So unless you want real close ups....
