This lens completes XTi (or 30D).
Although this lens is considered as ultra wide lens, for XTis and 30D's, this is really a 28-65mm lens (not "ultra" but regular wide). I purchased this for about $700 at Amazon to replace the kit lens 18-55mm the XTi came with. I am very pleased with the photos that I am taking. The focus is quick. The images are sharp, and the color is beautiful. I like the lens a lot. Because it's a F4 lens, I do need to use the flash. With 430EX flash I am getting pleasing shots in low light situations as well. I suppose a lower F stop might be better but I don't think Canon makes a lower F stop lens of comparable build. I did consider 28-70mm F2.8L (45-112mm on the XTi), but then it's no longer a "wide" angle lens. Compensating for the crop factor, getting a wide angle lens meant 17mm or less. So, this was really the only choice I had for an L quality build at this price range. Over all, I am very satisfied with the build quality and the results. The 40mm (64mm on the XTi) is a bit short, and I wish it were longer. However, giiven that this lens costs only (did I say "only?" lol) about $650, I have no complaints about the lens. Something's gotta give. It's weight is nicely substantial (not too heavy), and since I use my XTi with a battery grip all of the time, the combined weight balances well in my hands. To me, the battery grip and this lens are perfect companions to make the XTi's complete. I like this 17-40mm f/4L USM Wide Angle Zoom Lens for my XTi.

Love This Strap; However, Always Use the Secondary
I would give this a 4.5 star rating if I could, but giving it 5 instead because it deserves to be rounded up lol. I love this strap, I used it for 5 days shooting at a music festival, and have had it for nearly two months. I feel that having it strapped to my hands enabled, if not forced, me to get the amount of photos that were required of me. At one point, I slipped and fell and I don't know if it was good or bad that it was strapped to my hand, but my camera and lens survived, with a UV filter on it for protection. The half star taken away only because one of the straps slowly came undone and I didn't notice, and the camera would have fallen to the ground if it were not for the secondary backup snap-button strap that saved it.

I wish I had of seen this before
I love macro photography and recently brought a regular speedlight (albeit a compact one) so that I could take it around with me; a bit of a pain, if I'm honest, with having the diffuser on it and trying to get the best light. Then I noticed this one a month after, and it was even cheaper, so I thought I would try it.I actually have 2 macro lenses over the years, a Nikon F mount and a Nikon Z mount, and there is an important thing you need to do with the Z mount lens; do not mount the flash to the lens part, which moves in and out, attach it with a larger adapter to the outer case. This is because it will put undue pressure on the lens and can result in lens motor failure. I did a lot of research on that, so I thought you should know.Loved the fact that it came with so many adapters, as I was a bit worried I was going to have to find some to fit my lenses. The light is beautifully even that comes out of it and really makes your picture pop, and the cable to the main unit is soft and flexible and doesn't pull against front. Very simple controls on the back to adjust the power, and so far, I've only needed the lowest setting for macro work, although I'm sure the higher setting will come in useful for portraits (not tried that yet).

Another Winning Z Mount Lens from Nikon
I enjoy macro photography and was very happy when Nikon announced the 105mm f2.8 Micro lens for the Z mount cameras. The lens is larger than than the F mount counterpart, but not as heavy. It produces outstanding images, sharp from corner to corner. As a S-line Z mount lens, it has a customizable control ring and function button.Focusing is quick and silent, and the lens includes a focus-limiting switch to limit the working distance for close up work. It also has 4.5 stops of VR, so while you may not want to necessarily ditch the tripod for true macro work, you can use this in the field with confidence if you are not traveling with a tripod. The included photo was taken handheld.Highly recommended!

great camera for the money
great camera, easy to operate.the only thing that desires improvement is kit lens - f3.5 becomes an issue in shooting in dark environment. other than that - all is well.

Great little but powerful addition to Tough
This device should receive some kind of industry design award. It channels the builtin flash light to an even ring of LEDs for close up purpose. Must have if you plan to take a lot of macro close up photos. All the instructions listed in amazon assumes you know how to remove the lens mount on the camera so it was never mentioned. The full instruction to mount the Macro ring is as follow:1. Take your camera, put both of your thumbs on the two side of the lens mount (the ring that has a red dot on it).2. Turn counter-clockwise 1/4 turn until you feel the mount is released.3. Remove the lens mount.4. Position the macro ring on the lens by aligning the white dot on the micro ring to the white dot (7 o'clock position) on the lens. Turn clockwise until the macro ring intake cover the flash.5. Switch on your camera and turn the dial to the macro mode.6. Press down arrow on the OK dial and go to flash setting. Select the LED on setting.7. Take the camera facing you, press on the shutter release and you can see the macro ring lights up. You are all set then.Enjoy. . camera iton) lower right camera ote t.

Fits amateur and creative photographer's needs.
This filter set has everything I need. It comes with all the filters mentioned. The macro filters are very impressive. With the +10 macro filter on my Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lens, I could take a picture from about several inches from anything. At f/4.5 and 70mm, the picture had a shallow depth of field. WARNING: If you zoom out maybe over 100mm and if you stack all the macro filters, the picture will appear blurred and dusty looking and not very sharp.1st picture: 70mm2nd picture: 100mm3rd picture: 135mmThe pictures keep getting less sharp and more blurry and muted.

Q
Can i use this on a canon d80 100 mm macro ef lens ? it says 67 mm on the lens cap but i don't see the exact answer. thank you
A
67mm should also be stenciled on the front edge of the lens somewhere. If so, then you should be good to go. It should be on the lens because a lens cap can be lost or broken.
Q
Will this work on my sony a6000 and tokina minolta 100-300mm macro zoom?
A
Yes
Q
Can they be used for star gazing?
A
I had to wait for a clear night. I tried all of my binoculars. NONE were suitable for star gazing. They magnified the dark sky. On a tripod you can see a speck of light.
Q
Is the external microphone port compatible with any external microphone or only the sjcam external microphone?
A
SJ7 Star supports only officially external MIC because of software limitation
Q
What is the difference between ND 2-32 and ND 8-128? And does the 67mm works for tamron 28-75 for sony?
A
If your tamron 28-75 lens is 67mm, the two filters both work for your lens. Please verify your camera's lens thread size before purchase (usually marked somewhere on the lens barrel or printed underneath the lens cap). The number is always preceded by a "ø" (diameter) symbol the two lens difference is the stops.
