Q
How is the multiple calculated?
A
Equipped with eyepieces: H6mm, H20mm The multiples are: 300/6=50 times, 300/20=15 times. If you choose a 3 times Ballov lens, the magnification is 50X3=150 times, 15X3=45 times; plus a 1.5 times orthographic lens, the imaging is a positive image, and the magnifications are: 50X1.5=75 times, 15X1. 5=22.5 times. Namely: minimum magnification: 15 times, maximum magnification: 150 times.
Q
Do these zoom from 10-40 magnification?
A
NO, dont listen to the other person who answered because they have no idea what they are talking about. these are 10x magnification. in one part of the listing is says 40mm is the size of the objective lens and in another part is says the objective lens is 60. either way it says in multiple spots that these are 10X magnification which makes sense because its identical to my expensive 10X binoculars
Q
Does this have adjustable magnification?
A
Yes
Q
Appropriate for stargazing?
A
No, they are not high powered
Q
Do you sell the higher magnification binocular than this one?
A
High magnification can be less desirable because it tends to make hand tremors more noticeable, results in a smaller FOV, and amplifies earth processes such as heat being reflected. Higher magnification may also result in images that are not as clear and bright. Lastly, higher magnification makes it more difficult to initially find objects and to track moving objects.
