Update:They just reshipped me a new filter for no cost. This filter deserves 5 stars and I love the fact that they corrected their error.I just order this uv protector and never received the actual filter. All I got was the empty box where the filter should have been. Not sure what happened but it did. Besides this the last time I ordered the filter, a few months ago, it worked really good.

I got this for close up images. I’m still learning how to get the best focus - it’s not 1/2” away, as the booklet that came with my lens says - but I’m impressed with the clarity I can get without a whole lot of effort.The design is pretty good. There’s a nice thick protective rim around the lenses, and the clip works really, really well - it is easy to position and it takes effort to dislodge. I wish each lens came with its own cap, though, because I don’t really want to carry both around with me most of the time. But that’s really my only complaint. I would absolutely buy again.Update: Getting a second one for my son.

For starters, the filter came packaged better than I expected. It arrived in a nice faux leather case for safe keeping or traveling when not in use. It is also very well made and dare I say rivals some of the more expensive ones that I have in terms of quality and performance. It was a bit difficult to get onto my lens, I had to carefully line up the thread but once it was on my Fujinon lens, it did not budge. It was easy to adjust while shooting and wasn’t too loose that it moved on its own.I’ve never used a diffusion filter before so I wanted to try something new when it came to my images and I’m kind of sold with this one. It added this softening effect to my images, smoothed out some of the edges but still kept the details.

This seems to do the trick. I purchased it more as a lens protector than filter. I have not had any issues with my images being cloudy or hazy since putting the filter on. I actually did a back-to-back comparison of photos with the filter and without. I could not detect a difference. It seems to be of decent quality.

I just received these today, within the last hour or so, so this isn't a thorough field tested review. I did however take sample shots of a door with a calendar hanging on it. I used my Canon 17mm-40mm F4 lens at 17mm. I took one shot with no filter that was at about 17.5mm since I hadn't realized that I had slightly moved the zoom ring. I then corrected that error and then took a picture with the 3 stop, then 6 stop, then 10 stop.After I was finished I looked at the images on my computer. Vignette was more apparent with each increase but I was expecting that with this lens. I should mention that to mount a 95mm filter on a 77mm lens I used a step up ring by the same manufacturer.The focus and image quality did not appear to be affected, even zoomed in at 200%. One thing I observed is that I need to slightly over expose according to my light meter in the camera to keep the resulting images from being just a tad dark.After I corrected for exposure, my error, not the filters, the images were essentially identical. I the future I will use the "Long Exposure Calculator" app.As a hobbyist I am very happy with the results.

I use Adobe Lightroom CC on my iPad to edit images - so this is a great time saver being able to download them direct to my iPad now!!

First rule in placing a filter over your lens: do no harm to the resulting images. This one is very good at that, and provides the protection that filters offer to the front of the lens.

Great filter. Offers good protection for your lens and does not distort your images.
