I do not see if this adapter or any other model will match panasonic lumix dmc-g85 with nikon af-s dx nikkor 55-300mm? please confirm?

This adapter fits the Panasonic G85 perfectly. If your lens is a Nikon G lens, then you should have no problems. The version of this adapter I have is M43 (Micro 4/3rd) to M42 lens. Hope this helps.

- Nikon DSLR mount(Nikon DSLRs, e.g. D40 D70 D3100 D3200 D3300 D5100 D5200 D5100 D7100 etc) is called AI or F, usually expressed by Nikon/AI, and Nikon mirrorless camera(Nikon 1 series mirrorless cameras like N1 1 V1 V2 V3 S1 S2 J1 J2 J3 J4 AW1 ect) was usually expressed by Nikon1

Some questions about the aperture

- please judge whether your lens could adjust the aperture
there is only Nikon(G),also called AI(G) adapter ring has the aperture control ring, and is only for Nikon G lens,
If you want to use nikon AI lens on this Nikon(G) adapter ring, it could be attached, but the aperture control ring could not be used as
there is a pin on Nikon G lens that could move the aperture control ring but no on AI lens. - Some buyer mentioned could not adjust the aperture, actually this is because your lens does not have the aperture control function, If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, it will stop down to its smallest f/stop by default
- Since there is no electronic contacted on our adapter ring, so could not transfer the aperture number to camera.
