Camera came with many useful accessories for mounting in a variety of applications. Has two batteries as well as a spare battery for the remote. First action camera for me so was not going to spend a fortune for a gopro. This seems like a capable camera for my purposes.

I had wanted a camera where I could video when I rode my horse, this was a gift from my husband for Christmas, I like that it has a wrist control to take still or video, I like all the extra accessories, that came with the camera! also the waterproof case is a plus if we get caught in the rain. Love it!

 I had a GoPro Hero 5 mounted atop the vertical stabilizer of a small aircraft, and the image was subject to too much shaking. Hero 8 includes an improved stabilization system, and it really makes a difference. The video shows a side-by-side comparison of the output (from two separate flights).
