Value for Money
I had been meaning to buy a variable ND filter for my 24-70f2.8l for a while. When I heard about K&F filters; having tried a 3xnd filter kit pack that I was impressed with; especially at the price. I looked at K&F's other products and found this more than reasonable price ND filter and had to give it a go.The filter is shipped from China; so its not something to order if you are in a rush - but when it did arrive I was blown away by the quality of the presentation. The filter was packaged inside a well designed; expensive looking, cardboard outer package and then a hard plastic inner with a foam sheet to allow it some protection. On opening the pack one disadvantage to this filter immediately manifested itself; the front element isn't 77mm so your lens cap won't go back on the lens with the filter mounted. The filter mounted smoothly onto my lens. The variable darkness is achieved by rotating the front element; as you would a circular polariser. The K&F filter spun smoothly but with enough resistance to keep the darkness you set so knocking it won't change the setting. One disadvantage to the design is the filter doesn't have coded ND values so there is a bit of guesswork to get the right exposure for stills.I tried the obvious and took an image of a plain white wall at various ND settings; and there was some minor differences in the brightness of the photo - it was a bit lighter at the edges of the frames. At its darkest on long exposures; the 6d went red shift but this is correctable in Lightroom (and made much easier if you use a colour checker passport.) If you zoomed in on the plane white background you could see some variations in darkness; and ultimately pixel peeping at maximum darkness a mesh. That said taking pictures of something more interesting than a wall the effect was lost in the detail of the image.I rarely shoot video so for you dear reviewer; I shot some test video of the same white wall. I don't have any fancy video editing software and just watching the video back in lightroom; the darkening effect was pretty uniform across the photo. As with stills if there were any criticism it is very minor and that the corners show up brighter than the centre of the frame. The majority of the frame being uniformly dark. There was no patterning showing in the video.Using a standard ND filter definitely gave a more even darkness to stills but I am planning 3 long trips this year and carrying 5 ND filters everywhere felt like a chore. Now I just need one. If i could I would ding 1/2 a star for the front element size not being 77mm but its a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things.

A well thought-out design which makes it incredibl
Recently went mirrorless and started looking for a new filter set to cover all of my F and Z lenses. Reviews on the Kase were quite good and the bundle took the thought of which ones to buy out of the picture. The filters are well made and stick quite firmly to the ring. Would have been nice if more step-up rings were included (or cheaper) but again, they’re well made and incredibly convenient.

Better to protect and not be sorry
As a photographer, I use a UV filter for my outdoor shots and keep the sky and haze minimized. For everyday camera usage, however, I have found the lens filter acts a great value to protect the front elements when all you carry is the camera and a lens.

Quality camera
I just came back from vacation & had the opportunity to use it on 2 occasions. Both times I pretty much used the default camera settings. The first time use was on a jet boat with camera mounted to my head. The motion stabilization worked well as the boat ride was jarring. The video was flawless.Second time use was scuba diving, max depths of 45'. I mounted it to the floating hand hold. I dived 3 times, 2 with a red lens filter attached and 1 without lens filter but with camera set to dive mode. Slight difference in blues & greens but can't really say which was better. The video was excellent. I noticed a little moisture in the camera's waterproof container after 3rd dive. The only con I can think off concerns the time stamp. Time stamp reverts to 01-01-2000 upon battery removal, meaning every time battery comes out you have to reset the time. Good luck with that. All in all, I would definitely recommend purchase.

Amazing camera
I love this thing, I bought it mainly to make videos and take occasional pictures. Learned to use all its functions on a 5 day trip to the Canadian Rockies. Very versatile and perfect for beginners. The video quality is very comparable to higher end cameras. In my opinion, an ND filter is a must for shooting outdoors if you want to properly control your depth of field and exposure. My friends had canon rebels and other DSLR’s... this felt more premium and compact in comparison. It’s significantly smaller than your typical DSLR, which is nice. It’s got some weight to it and it’s materials feel premium. Pair this with an external mic and an ND filter and you have a great video camera... might need a lens or two in the future as the included lens is somewhat limited.

Works for slower shuter speed
It worked for slower shutter speed. I couldn't reach 30 seconds exposure in bright day light even with maximum close aperture on Canon 80D. But it worked at 15 sec. And closer to 5-6 pm in summer time, I could set shutter at 30 seconds without overexposure. I wouldn't say that pictures were really sharp through this filter, but where would you use it besides landscapes? I used it in video, works nice when you need your wide open aperture to have cinematic look, however, when I took off filter from Canon 17-55mm, f/2.8 Lens (constant f/2.8), the saturation exploded on video, meaning that ICE filter suppress the colors. You can boost them in post production of course, but color wouldn't be the same as it would go through expensive lenses. Sharpness in video, was actually good. There was not much of focus hunting. As for flare, I used the lens hood, so even with ICE filter screwed over B + W 77mm UV, E Coating, 2 Layers filter I didn't see much of flares, unless you point camera directly against the sun. But as I said not much. I have a Hoya filter on Canon Prime 50mm f/1.8 lens. That one has terrible flare even at night from street light. Anyways. I found that you don't really need 30 seconds exposure for creative picture. I took Monterey Park (California) Ocean waves with 30, 15, 5, 1 and 0.5 seconds exposure at f/2.8 with Canon 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. The best ones were at 0.5 and 1 second. The rest of them made ocean waves and pattern look like a fog in Pirates of the Caribbeans Movie, awaiting for Black Perl to reappear. All in all, it's a good filter to have fun with. Good try out for the price anyway.

Q
Is it good for shooting range?
A
Yes! I use it at both an indoor and outdoor range.
Q
Which variable nd filter is best the nd2-nd32, nd8-nd128, nd2-nd400 or nd8-nd2000? i am shooting outdoor music videos in bright sunlight?
A
All the filter could satisfy your need for the outdoor music videos in bright sunlight. but the nd 2-32 and 8-128 could be much better. if you like it a little bit darker, then nd 8-128 will be your choice. If you have no concern on nd stops, then nd 2-32 could be your choice.
Q
Does it get loud enough for outdoor use?
A
Yes,the bluetooth speaker is loud enough for outdoor.
Q
Will this work with my Canon T7i with 18-55mm and 55-250mm?
A
Absolutely.
Q
Will this adapter work with older Nikon legacy (manual focus/aperature) lenses? If not, is there such a thing?
A
You should order one for every manual Nikon lens you want to use with you Sony mirrorless camera.
