This review is for the product and not the seller.This product has a different inner (77mm - seats on camera lens) and outer (82mm - lens cover) thread size.The inner thread seats properly into my camera lens at 77mm. However, it requires a bigger 82mm lens cover.The optics are made of glass and with the wide selection of ND settings, this is a good filter to use on a daily basis.Furthermore, this is very reasonably priced. I am satisfied with this product.

Using a 2x lens adapter and a moon filter we had a great view of the full Moon and Lunar Eclipse! This was easy to set up and just as easy to learn to use. Well, I didn't do a Polar Alignment and we just blindly pointed at the objects we wanted to see. It worked out perfectly! :) I HIGHLY recommend this scope as a beginner scope and look forward to seeing what she can do once we are not under a street light.

Once you get past the price shock, you realize how very special this filter set is. 1) at 82mm, this has a wide variety of application, from DSLRs to almost anything where the mount can be made to fit. That also means you can move it from camera to camera you use.This system was created to focus on convenience (once the unit is attached.) Magnetic filters drop into place instead of needing to be screwed in place. Of course, you need filters of the right size and which can be magnetically connected. Chances are that your existing filters won't work for reason of size and magnetic ability. You'll probably be dropping some more bucks on those.The unit allows me to stack up to four Kase filters, giving it versatility. It also allows me to change the centr ewhich is useful on gradient filters where I don't want it across the center of the shot (and let's face it, I seldom want it center across the shot.) The filters can also be freely rotated into place, something conventional filters don;t do.The kit includes: Filter #1: Magnetic 95mm Soft Grad 0.9. Filter #2 82mm Magnetic CPL. Filter #3: 95mm Magnetic ND1000 (10 Stop),a lens cover and a storage bag.The kit came with a 77mm to 82mm adaptor ring, but I needed to get a different ring to connect it to my 55mm DSLR. That set me back another $7...small potatoes compared to the price of this kit.For at least a while, I am leaving the unit attached to the camera and storing it in the bag attached for faster use. I'll see how that works with my shooting opportunities.I rated this five stars for its capability and versatility, not for its price. Sometimes, you just pay more for something special and if you are serious about your craft.

I have been using this filter to protect my lens and it has done the job.

Not a huge review person normally, yet I find myself having to share how impressed I am with Breakthrough. Short story: I lost a lens cap and ordered 2 from Breakthrough. Somewhere the wires got crossed and I received on lens cap and one Arca tripod plate. In the midst of exclaiming "well that's not a lens cap" I was struck by what a nicely made tripod plate that is. Advantage me. It has replaced my stock plate on one of my camera bodies permanently.The 82mm X2 filter I received today again impressed me. Thin yet clearly well made, threaded perfectly onto the lens (anything with an 82mm front end is going to be expensive and there is always that initial apprehension of buggered threads ruining the fun) My ND filters thread on and off of the X2 effortlessly as well. The front ring turns firmly but smoothly, no slop there.Almost as important to me as the quality of the product is the presentation of the product. You're spending some extra dollars here, and it's great to have it arrive packaged in something more than a typical plastic case. Business cards and microfiber cloth in the box for good measure. It's obvious there is some pride in the product at Breakthrough. Bravo

The threading of the filter for the lens cap or threaded hood is not 82mm. I just purchased an 82mm lens cap and hood only to find out it is too large. Looks more like it needs to be a 73mm to 75mm thread. The 72mm thread for my lens is correct, however, and works well.Update 11/4/2020: Ordered a 77mm to 82mm step up ring. The ring fits and means that this is a 77mm thread and not an 82mm thread for the cap and hood. If you buy this filter, you will need a hood and lens cap for a 77mm thread.
