I was very surprised and pleased with the quality and clarity of the Graduated Neutral Density filter. My only concern was the filter fit tighter than i thought necessary and I was afraid I might break it trying to insert it into the filter frame. A little lithium lube in the grooves of the frame helped. I’ve included two test photos I shot to show the effect of the filter. Obviously the one with the darker sky was the one with the filter while the other had no filter.

My partner asked for a Tiffen graduated neutral density filter for his birthday, then waited with much excitement. When I gave it to him he rushed out to try it and said it was as good as advertised.

I love that this is a variable neutral density filter, allowing for much more flexibility. It worked great for the 2017 solar eclipse and I look forward to using it when photographing water.

A very good quality 10-stop neutral density filter for relatively little money. There is very little if any color cast: which is far better than some more expensive ND's that i own. I am very pleased with the ICE ND1000 filter!

This thing is beautifully made and beautifully machined. All of the rotation are smooth and fluid. The low profile brass ring screws on the lens barrel perfectly.This is an interesting diffusion filter which gives you a variable neutral density while at the same time giving you 1/4 soft effect. The result is gorgeous. I prefer the optical effects to the digital ones and it certainly saves time when you were doing video.The glasses optically perfect and the neutral density gives me the option to lower down the shutter speed to get some smoother shots on things like moving waves. The diffusion effect is subtle but it softens the edges of the shadows just enough to give you a nice pleasing effect. It also works great on skin.I was able to enhance this sunset shot in camera with this filter without having to do any digital processing. The shadows were harsh and the sun was a little too bright. This soften the light and at the same time allowed me to smooth out the water with a longer exposure.

This graduated neutral density filter has transformed many of my outdoor photos to near postcard quality. I'm very pleased with the results!

As you can see from the Amazon page, this graduated neutral density filter is really great for sunsets. The sky is relatively bright, the foreground somewhat dark. Without a filter, the meter measures the light of the sun and the dark areas are washed out. With a solid neutral density filter, the foreground is too dark. A graduated neutral density filter blocks some of the sunlight but allows the foreground to appear normal. This graduated lens makes a huge difference. It dramatically improves pictures of sunlight. It is also good to block out glare, though I would use a polarizer for that. One problem with photography is that most photographers fall into one of two categories: they are either pros or amateurs. The pros want the best equipment and their livelihood depends on their having it. The amateurs want their cameras to do everything for them. There are excellent filters for the former, and the latter mostly don't know what a filter is. That leaves occasional photographers like me often out of luck. I don't want to pay lots of money for something that I will rarely use. K+F Concept is a good solution. It's good quality at a relatively reasonable price--or at least a price serious hobbyists would consider paying. I suspect that a comparable filter from B+W is better, but I'm not willing to pay 2-3 times the price of a K+F to find out. I love shooting in sunset conditions. So, I am very happy with this filter.
