Pricey, but it does a good job
I bought this speedlight (Nikon has 'speedlights' while Canon has 'speedlites') as it supports the Nikon wireless flash trigger system. All Nikon speedlights and cameras, as far as I know, work with the Nikon optical trigger system, but when you put speedlights into softboxes or other modifiers, or sometimes when you work outside in the sunshine, you can run into problems with optical and you need a wireless system. To make the wireless flash trigger work you need* a suitable camera (D500, D850, D5 or D6)* the WR-R10 receiver* the SB-50000 speedlightYou can get much cheaper non-Nikon wireless triggers systems but this is very small and discreet and it doesn't take up the hot shoe. (The small WR-R10 unit plugs into the 10-pin socket on the front left of the D850.)The speedlight is pretty powerful and has a lot of good features, like a modelling light and up to 6 groups of speedlights with different settings! A nice feature is the ability to set a PIN, so if you're in a camera club working next to someone with the same Nikon set-up you won't set off each other's flashes.I have taken off a star because I was sent a German manual instead of an English one. I have downloaded the English PDF of the manual and it's now on my phone. Rather than follow the manual I looked at the 3 Nikon Digitutor YouTube videos about the SB5000 and they very nicely take you through the instructions for linking the camera to the flash.

Very difficult to install
I had to get a wireless adapter from another pc to get it recognize, even though the router is literally right next to my pc.

Solid mount. Possibly the best accessory in my kit
I love this mount. It is not compatible with the Nikon FTZ adapter unless you move it from the body to the adapter or buy another mount just for the adapter. I’ve hike a couple mountains and bustled through crowds without fail using this mount.

Exceptional adapters that focus to infinity with m
Part 1 - Minolta MD to Sony NEX adapterTechnically, it slightly overshoots infinity but the issue is easily corrected by dialing back the focus ring just a tad --- Not exact but clearly better than not-at-all.Although very light due to extensive aluminum usage, the build quality and fit-and-finish of the adapter is superb. Connections on the lens and camera mount sides are tight and precise --- absolutely, zero slop. The top of the lens release button is flattened making the lens removal process very easy and comfortable.Other notes:- There are no electrical connections so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens itself- When mounting the lens, turn the adapter clockwise till you hear a "click"- Tested with a Minolta 85mm f/1.7 Rokkor-X MD lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera-----------------------Part 2 - Nikon Ai to Sony NEX adapterEdit: Based on my positive experience with the Minolta MD adapter, I also purchased the Nikon Ai adapter later. As with the Minolta MD adapter, the Nikon Ai version focuses beyond infinity a tiny bit. Fortunately, the same solution applies - dial back the focus ring and the horizon will become crystal clear. The build quality is impeccable and the finish is smooth and clean of burrs or machine marks. Connections on both sides are taut and precise with zero play.Additional notes for Nikon Ai adapter:- No electrical connections present so focus and zoom must be done manually on the lens.- Unlike the Minolta MD adapter, mounting the lens for Nikon adapter requires a counter-clockwise turn until you hear the "click" of the locking mechanism- Tested with a Nikon Micro Nikkor 55m f/2.8 Ai-S MF lens mounted to a Sony a6000 camera

Easily fits into small space
I really love this adapter because of its size. Since we have lots of old model computers it really help us to go wireless. price is worthy.

It's worth every penny . . .
Don't think twice. This flash attachment is so versatile you'll squeeze every penny out of it even if you only use half it's features. I use a Nikon D-200 and before that a D-70. And, I own two (not one, but two) of these amazing flashes. I've used them in a variety of ways together: one on the camera while the other is in remote mode; both remotely triggered by the camera's flash; and finally - one of my favorites - both off camera using the Nikon SC-28 TTL Coiled Remote Cord (a 9 foot extension that attaches to the flash shoe on-camera for use instead of either the on-camera flash or the SB-800 being on-camera). I've found this helpful for eliminating the camera-based remote triggering flash, which often causes subjects to blink at the very moment the picture is taken. I might have it elevated above the camera on a light stand or, if in the field, just in my hand off to one side or another. But, back to the SB-800: I've never taken so many perfectly exposed flash pictures in my life. And, with the SB-800, I know that the possibilities are endless.

Missing remote
Did not like how it did not come with the remote or the power adapter. Had to return. Seems to be used

Q
Looking to fit a Nikkor 55mm 3.5 ain’t lens on to my canon 80d is this possible with this adapter?
A
hello, The Nikon-EOS adapter ring fit for nikon AI mount lens and canon EF camera. so the adapter ring fit for your Nikkor 55mm 3.5 ain’t lens on to canon 80d
Q
Is the remote control waterproof?
A
No
Q
Am I supposed to use an adapter to attach to a Nikon camera? If so, can you suggest an adapter?
A
No the other way this is to be able to mount the Nikon lenses onto the micro 4/3 camera body
Q
Some questions about the aperture
A
  1. please judge whether your lens could adjust the aperture there is only Nikon(G),also called AI(G) adapter ring has the aperture control ring, and is only for Nikon G lens,
If you want to use nikon AI lens on this Nikon(G) adapter ring, it could be attached, but the aperture control ring could not be used as
there is a pin on Nikon G lens that could move the aperture control ring but no on AI lens.
  2. Some buyer mentioned could not adjust the aperture, actually this is because your lens does not have the aperture control function, If your lens does not have a manual aperture control ring, it will stop down to its smallest f/stop by default
  3. Since there is no electronic contacted on our adapter ring, so could not transfer the aperture number to camera.

Q
Can i use this to put a canon ef 50mm f/1.8 lens on my nikon d5200? and, if so, will that mean i have to use manual focus?
A
I have come to find out that adapter is not compatible with the nikon d5200 and all things would be done manually
