 This is an excellent product if you need access to a solid but cost effective trail camera. It is made of strong, impact resistant plastics, with an array of motion sensors and IR light panel on the front as well as the lens of course. The unit hinges open to reveal a large battery compartment for 8 AA batteries - my only real gripe is that this unit does not have a rechargeable option built in - and you can't use rechargeable AA's as they don't meet voltage requirements!!.The other half of the hinges interior has a small display and large, easy to use control buttons for setting up the cameras features. It also has room for the SD card to be inserted, and when closed the unit is sealed tight with an O ring to keep everything dry. I set this up out in my garden for two days and nights in all weathers without a hitch.A variety of settings allows for recording of both video and stills, triggered by motion or just set to capture Timelapse. You can change the PIR sensitivity (I suggest medium, as high captured every movement of the leaves on the trees and resulted in thousands of triggers in a 24 hour period, but medium had only 150 triggers in a 24 hour period including a wonderful shot of a beautiful fox.)You can also alter the delay from detection to recording and the quality, and length of video, or number of shots per trigger.Apart from the battery gripe, my only other is you have no way of viewing the scene you have sent up without setting it up, then capturing a shot, and reviewing it, requiring you to open and view the built in screen. Maybe a bluetooth chip in the next one to connect to the screen on your phone for live view.

This camera is hands down one of the best cameras I've owned battery life is amazing used 8 AA batteries in 8 months .also customer support is awesome.

I shoot weddings and have always had to switch out aa batteries in my speedlights a couple times during the day, or I am forced to wear a large battery pack on my hip as an alternative. Not anymore! The battery in this lasts more than the length of a wedding-no battery swapping! It is worth switching for that reason alone.I think there might be a more even light with this round head compared with hotspots that traditional speedlights have, but the difference is not huge.

But we recommend that you leave the battery inside the camera for the stability of the camera.When the external 6v battery is attached, does it get used first and the AA batteries get used up last?2. Because the external power supply is 6V. One alkaline battery is 1.5V.When using a brand new 8 alkaline AA batteries, when the voltage is higher than 6V, the camera will use AA batteries.As the battery power decreases, the camera will use an external power supply when it is below 6V.When the external power supply has no power, the camera will continue to work with the remaining power of the AA battery until it is completely out of power and shuts down.Is the reason you say not to use rechargeables is because some of them are 1.2 volts? What about NiZn that are 1.6V?3. The camera is not recommended to use rechargeable batteries, because Rechargeable batteries don't pack the punch needed to keep more sensitive electronics working properly. NiZn's and NiMH's develop a memory after a few cycles and just don't hold voltage very well-especially in cold weather.But if you want to use a rechargeable battery, the camera can sometimes work normally, because I tested using a 1.2V rechargeable Ni-MH battery and the camera can work normally, But there is no guarantee that it will always work. If you use 1.6V rechargeable nickel-zinc battery, welcome to tell us the experience, so that we can better improve the product.

I bought this bag to carry my Pentax K-5 with battery grip, Pentax K-01, Panasonic LX-5, and a couple zooms and a prime lens. It does that admirably. This is one of the few bags that handles the depth of the battery grip without interfering with the zippers or looking lumpy. I also give it kudos for the right shoulder design since I have a nagging left shoulder injury that's exacerbated by slings on my left. It is comfortable fully loaded.It could be improved my making more modular and symmetrical velcro pads. The design of the removable pads nearly drove me insane. Getting them placed requires patience.The lining feels cheap compared to a lowepro. But this bag is a fraction of the price of name brands and so the few corners cut in its design seem reasonable given its price. I can't imagine spending more than a hundred dollars on a bag, but there are quite a few of them out there.See my pics in the shared images.
