I have a Pentax *ist Digital SLR, and the factory external flash is over $150. This is a steal at the Amazon price, and does just as well as the factory flash would.

At first, I didn't like the product at all; so I'll start with the consCons:- Loud,- Large,- Couldn't program any other keys than what were on the board itself (until you DL the software).- No backup or restore button for profiles (in case you get fancy with your key programming)Pros:- Once you DL the software, you can program almost alllll of the keys to whatever you want (Which leads to many cool possibilities);- All keys except FN, M1-M4, and REC can be programmed- There are macro recordings for keyboard input, media functions (pause, play, FF, RW, etc);- The N and P buttons at the bottom right are convenient and can be reprogrammed as well as the map key next to F4 (All keys except FN, M1-M4, and REC can be programmed);- The lights on the keyboard can be utilized to indicate which profile you're in if you change it for each one. (FN+Space (Thumb, also convenient));- And if you're like me and don't like destroying the build-in keyboard on your laptop or main keyboard by gaming, then you'll likely want to use something that will take the brunt of the force.- It's nice for laptop use if you have the room because you can angle it at the side and have both arms in a similar position instead of 1 arm in front and the other on the side (mouse).That's a good summary IMO. I'll try to get back for more feedback if needed.I wish there was a quieter version and also a second half of the keyboard for people that might like to have a keyboard that can be positioned however you like that can be programmed completely and have multiple profiles available. Perhaps profile import and export as well. (I'm sure there's a way to go into the files and find it, copy and restore it at will

After a little persuasion, I got it to work on my Pentax ist dl camera. It makes a huge difference to the on camera flash. I used the 5mm adapter (provided) Great product. (should have bought one a long time ago!)

These keepers are good. Arrived in time, and fit really well around the lens barrels of a Pentax FA 35mm, DA 18-55mm and even the Tamron 70-300 Telmacro. Everything as described, hope the adhesive spot sticks well on the cap.

I bough this after some research of reviews and after I bought Taotronics DL-13.Comparing this to DL-13, it has slight heavier base, less light color options (mode) but has 60min timer out function. I like this better because of perceived better build quality and the memory function as I will talk about below.This lamp has 4 modes. In each mode, you can adjust brightness. It can remember the setting for each of the 4 modes separately. It also can remember the mode that was being used before turning off. DL-13 can't remember anything.Memory function is actually very important. You will not change the setting very often, most of time you just want to keep a setting forever.

This has made carrying my heavy pentax 6x7 possible.
