Great Watch!
TL;DR The watch is exactly as advertised with great performance and battery life. The button knobs still do nothing when turned and the watch has no compass sensor. Other than that, this is still the best TicWatch when I comes to its abundance of features, making it the best WearOS watch as well. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.FULL REVIEWFirst and foremost, the battery life on this watch is phenomenal. I left the house with 18% returned home after 9 hours and was still able to keep it on for sleep tracking. Albeit, I didn't use the watch for other than notifications and time telling (full digital display). I was also very surprised by the accuracy of the sleep tracking app. Perhaps the new sensors are what make it so accurate. It knows exactly when I went to sleep and when I woke up. Best of all, it sync all this data to google fit.SOFTWAREThe Tic apps are all better than their google counterparts except for TicExercise. Google Fit Workout has many more workout options and is more accurate in tracking them automatically. However, TicBreathe is much better than Fit Breathe in terms of the way the watch differentiates between when you should inhale and when you should exhale.TicPulse is very similar to Fit Heart Rate, but seems to provide a lot more information.TicZen is great for measuring stress levels and keeping track of it.TicOxygen measures the oxygen levels in one's blood. I don't really know how useful this is to the average person.TicHearing measures the ambient noise around the watch, which could be useful to some people, but I didn't find myself using it all that much.I prefer the Tic apps for their functionality, but I prefer the Google Fit app on my phone to look at all the recorded data. The Mobvoi app isn't that good when it comes to UI/UX. But it syncs its data to google fit, which is perfect. This watch also has a new Mobvoi launcher with custom app ordering that can be tiggled on or off. However, I prefer the alphabetical wearOS launcher and chose to keep that. This watch comes with a native voice recording app which is a plus. You can always download a third party recorder, but it's definitely better to have it natively. It allows for up to 10 tiles rather than 5, which is a great addition.HARDWARECompared to previous TicWatch models (namely the 4G/LTE), the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS has more sensors. Unfortunately, it does lose the e-compass sensor that the TicWatch Pro 4g/LTE had. It also obviously doesn't have 4g/LTE capability, but I didn't use that in the 4g TicWatch anyway. The new snapdragon 4100 chip does increase the speed and it is somewhat noticeable if you're looking for it. It's especially noticeable in how quick the watch switches from the secondary display to the primary display when I look at it. It does also significantly improve battery life, and that was very noticeable. The watch can charge fairly quickly depending on the power adapter you use. It does not come with it's own power adapter, so you'll have to use the power cable with your phone's power adapter. Generally, you'll be able to wear the watch for a few days and nights (for sleep tracking) before needing to charge it. When it does need charging, you can charge it during one of your morning routines. This watch has much better speakers than the TicWatch Pro 4g.It has the same buttons, which unfortunately still do nothing when turned like a knob. They are only meant to be clicked, like the TicWatch Pro 4gThe secondary display looks much better and has a light so it can be visible in the dark. The light only works when the watch is in essential more.I did notice that the vibration motor is a bit weaker. I actually prefer it this way as it is still noticeable and I can still tell when a notification comes in. Plus, I believe it saves battery life when the vibrations are not strong. The TicWatch Pro 4g has stronger vibrations, so upgraders need to keep that in mind before upgrading.Wristbands that were compatible with the TicWatch Pro 4g are also compatible with the TicWatch Pro 3. However, any charging accessories and any watch covers will NOT work, unfortunately. So keep that in mind if upgrading from a previous TicWatch.LOOK AND FEELThis watch is very light and the weight difference compared to the TicWatch Pro 4g is noticeble in the wrist. It feels more elegant and fancier in the wrist compared to the TicWatch Pro 4g, which feels more sporty since it it thicker.Although the TicWatch Pro 3 is wider (bigger circle) and flatter (thinner), it still retains the same display size. The display has more pixels, but that's only noticeable in the spec sheet.I definitely prefer the look and feel of this watch over other TicWatch Pro models.I'm not sure what it would look like on small wrists.Although this watch is gender-neutral, I would say that it has a more masculine style than feminine (let's please avoid a gender debate, you know what I mean).CONCLUSIONAs far as WearOS watches go, this one is definitely one of the best. Its secondary display which can save so much battery life and still give important information is not to be find in any other smartwatches (except the previous TicWatch Pro series, of course). I really wish it had turnable button functionality, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I would get the TicWatch over any other WearOS smartwatch. For those looking to upgrade from other TicWatch Pro models, this watch is an improvement in every way. However, it is good to note that the vibrations might be slightly weaker than what you are used to, but they are still definitely noticeable. If you're coming from the TicWatch Pro 4G LTE, you will be losing 4g capability of course as well as the compass. These might be deal breakers for some people. I, for one, would really like to see the compass sensor in future models. However, I would still get this watch over the 4g model since I didn't use the 4g capability, and I could always use my phone for compass purposes since I don't really use it too frequently.Note: I did read Amazon reviews that say their watches had some sort of defect that made it unusable from the start. I, fortunately, received a watch that has no such defects with battery life or with the display or with touch to wake. I have also contacted customer support about the lack of compass and to point out a typo in one of the apps and they replied in a very quick and professional manner.
