Easy to use
I have been using the lock over a year. It took me a few tries to get it installed properly. There is a little guide to follow, but some of the details were not super clear. I had some issues getting the lock to update with new firmware. Eventually the software was updated and the lock has worked flawlessly since. I love the auto-open and auto-lock features. We no longer need to fumble for keys to enter the house. It was an excellent purchase!

Professional grade handle.
Professional quality handle, with plenty of standard screw holes to mount stuff, exactly what I was looking for. I have ordered a cage for my dslr, once I’ll have it I will then fit the handle, then will fit the light, mic and action cam at the side of the handle.Keep in mind, this particular handle has an ‘arri’ mount, so to mount it on the cold shoe it will require an adapter, which costs more or less same as the handle itself.I’m aware, that there’s a cold shoe version of this handle - I may order the arri to cold shoe adapter soon, as I want to use this handle directly with my Nikon, this will just give me some degree of flexibility. Then I’ll update my review with new photos and observations. However, the product is solid, made with a very high precision. I wouldn’t expect anything less from SmallRig brand.

Fiddly but Works!
I'm giving this 4 stars - 5 stars for what it does, and 3 stars for the fiddly.I use a Panasonic Lumix G6 MFT camera, and use full-size DSLR lenses with adapters for telephoto along with the occasional adapter that doubles the focal length of the kit lens. Hey, I'm on a budget! The Booster absolutely performs as advertised. When I first got it, I noticed that it was, well, *plasticky* and didn't feel very strong. It came with two adapters for the hot shoe (which I promptly misplaced but found again), and full directions. It took a bit of fiddling with the shoe mounts to get it seated correctly on the camera. I found that the only way to get it to perform properly was with one of the shoe adapters. With an adapter and the Booster in place, miracles happen.Everybody knows that the pop-up flash that every camera comes with is pretty much crap. Well, this little item with the War of the Worlds looking fresnel lens solves a lot of the issues. This will not work with your regular kit lens. This is meant for telephoto distance shooting, and that's how it best performs. Anything shorter than telephoto means that you'll have a blown out white circle in the middle of your picture! Ask me how I know...The pros of this item are pretty simple: It gives your pathetic pop-up enough power to brighten telephoto pics. After the fiddly part is done, it works perfectly. And it's made in the USA. Boom. The cons are simple, too: Plasticky feel, but may be stronger than it seems. It works on telephoto and ONLY on telephoto. Wish that they'd make one for wide angle! So to sum it up, I'm completely happy with the device and like the way it works. I just wish that the fit and finish would give me a little more confidence in its longevity. If it lasts, I will update it to five stars.

As stated by many others here this is an excellent
As stated by many others here this is an excellent product, but of course with limited ability to "talk" with the camera.I use Sony a65 with a hot-shoe adapter and was not quite sure how this would work, but given the low price i thought it's worth a try since in the worse case i'd use it as a slave flash. After some experiments with the TT560 and my a65 I found that this unit can even partially talk to my a65 when mounted with the hot-shoe adapter; I've setup the camera's flash to ADI mode and set the Neewer to 'S1' mode. The only quirk is that the camera seems to only trigger the TT560 if the built in flash is pop'd up, but it seems to expose correctly and results are in accordance with the exposure compensation setting on the camera. As mentioned by many others this unit works perfectly in slave mode and i've not had any issue in this mode.Overall I think the TT560 is great for this price range.

So far so good
I've only had this for a few days but so far I really like it. I have three fingerprints stored on it and so far they have worked flawlessly along with the auto lock feature. I did not create digi codes yet only because it have the fobs as well as a key and I think that is plenty with the fingerprint which everyone loves. You can only lock and unlock from your phone when your are close by unless you get the extra part which I see as unnecessary given that you can create one time passcodes to let people in if you need to and the auto lock feature for when they leave but to each is own. It was a little frustrating installing it and as you can see I do have to straighten it a bit so don't make fun of me.

Are good for a strobist
This product is very good if you use it with flashes strobist, those are pretty lightweight lightstand and umbrella are pretty good, you have to tratartlos auqnue carefully. What they are not very good are the Shoe Mount Swivel Flash Adapter can be used, but the slot to insert the flash is a complicated mechanism. It could be simpler.Anyway, the price is very, very good for what you get. You just have to treat them with care.

Powerful smart flash, no more "Red-Eye"
I bought it for my Sony DSC-f828 and now use it with my DSC-R1. I love this flash. If you have a Sony DSC-F828 or DSC-R1 then this flash will work with your cameras through the lens metering system. The flash will also assist with low light auto focus by using the built in LED's beneath the main flash head. The flash mounts on hot shoe on the right side of the camera body providing a nice balance feel to the camera and more importantly; by the flash being offset from the center of the lens it eliminates that dreaded red eye you can get while using the built in flash. There is also an optional diffuser that pops down over the flash for wide angle shots. This lifts up and stores in a special slot above the flash head where it can't get lost but it's always there when you need it. The flash can be used in full "Auto" mode or you can manually adjust the settings. the features in this flash are usually found in units costing many $$$ more, and this Flash communicates with your camera to get that perfect shot every time.My only complaint with this flash is it does not use rechargeable batteries. I wish Sony had designed it to use the same battery as the camera (like they do with some models of video camera lights) This would be a great idea. This flash operates on four AA batteries. I have tried all brands I could find and my best results (ie: quickest recycle times) were with Energizer e2 series batteries. This is not meant to plug the batteries, just to save you time trying them all out yourself. Here's more from the Sony site: Get outstanding flash coverage of up to 32 feet with this Deluxe Sony High Grade Flash. Offers innovative built-in model light mode, manual lighting control for increased creativity and a bounce and tilt head with built-in diffuser for easy use. Advanced automatic TTL Pre-Flash exposure control is offered through the dedicated hot shoe connector.* Equipped with advanced ACC shoe allowing communication with camera without cable* Included cable allows compatibility with ACC terminal* Equipped with back light LCD for improved operation* Power: 4 AA sized alkaline batteries* 6 level manual flash selection* Pre-flash adjustment: detects appropriate exposure before firing flash* Allows detection when conversion lens attached* AF assist lamp allows AF photography even when subject is too dark* Test flash: sets the focal length of light adjustment sensor by DSC data, then fires the test flash* Red-eye reduction, bounce flash function, equipped with wide panel, modeling flash

Can the lens aperture be controlled with this adapter? I am worried that I won't be able to change aperture values as there don't appear to be any electronics.

Hello, although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or any other functions will not operate while using this adapter. There is no electrical contacts in the adapter ring. Full manual operation, manual focus, manual iris adjustment can be achieved with body manual exposure, aperture priority exposure.

FD series adapter ring installation and operation steps.
A

There are two types of FD mounts
FD/FL Breech-Mount (with a silver ring, you need to rotate the silver ring when attachment and removal), breech-lock mounts are identified by the silver ring
New-FD Bayonet Mount, bayonet mounts are identified by a red dot next to the lens release button

Here are the steps to install breech-mount version

  1. Set your lens to smallest except for auto(bayonet mount only)
  2. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the OPEN side
  3. Line up the red dot with your lens and adapter ring(if yours is bayonet mount, just turn the adapter ring towards clockwise direction to make lens and adapter tight, then ignore the 4th step)
  4. Turn your lens ring towards counterclockwise direction to make the adapter ring tight with your lens
  5. Rotating the Lock-Open ring of the adapter on the LOCK side to engage the aperture closing pin

Operating the adapter

  1. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the adapter; on your lens, set the aperture to the smallest opening and use the adapter ring
  2. If you'd like to operate the lens aperture with the lens; place the adapter ring on the small aperture(Lock place) and control the aperture on the lens
