It is my first action camera. I bought it to record tennis matches and it is just perfect. Great image and resolution for a third of the price of the most expensive competitor.

Bought this camera for my son and family who moved far away. Now Grandma and Grandpa can talk easily with our 3 & 5 year old grandsons...without all the fuss of a headset. What a joy to actually see as well as hear about where our grandson lost his first tooth!

The camera seems to trigger quickly most of the time. Occasionally it seemed to take extra time. On video mode the trigger speed is slow, well into 1-2 seconds. The directions for use are helpful but lacking some important information. I know enough about trail cameras to help me figure out how to get the camera to work in all modes. The surprise was the time lapse feature. The camera works off motion until the time lapse time you’ve chosen. From what I could tell, It does not work on motion during the time lapse. The remote (another piece of hardware to loose in the field) is not what I want to use to setup the camera but it is the only choice. You can view the videos and pictures on the camera. Overall this is a very nice camera for the price. I’m seriously considering purchasing another but I really don’t need another one.

I live in an area where there is a lot of wildlife that comes through my yard and I really wanted to find out what kind of animal has been raiding my garden. This camera caught my attention because of the higher 1296P compared to the 1080p that are more common. I also wanted a camera where I can turn on and off the wifi mode remotely so I don't have to go to the camera to turn on the Wifi Mode, this comes with a remote control that you can use to turn on/off the wifi mode. This was a big plus for me and it has worked pretty well for me, I did not have to physically press the button on the camera every time I wanted to see what images the camera has captured. All you have to do is turn on the wife via remote and then you connect to the camera's wifi through your phone's app and you can access the photos and videos in the trail cam.The picture quality is really good, I kept the photo resolution at 24MP(Max) and both the day and night pictures were very crisp and clear. The videos captured were very detailed and there was no distortion, as you would see on lower quality trail cams. The only negative to this is you need to get a bigger SD card as it fills up 32 GB very fast. The packaging was ok, everything was securely in the box. I also wish it took fewer batteries, 8 AA batteries is a lot and I hope I don't have to replace these as frequently. The motion detection has been accurate and I kept the IR level in the lowest setting and it has been working pretty well for my needs.If you need a good-quality trail cam with nice features, this XTU Trial Cam is a great choice.
