I have had a few game cameras but this camera is great because it is small and easy to use.

I live in the country and my wife has tried to hang bird feeders of all types and designs. Between the squirrels and the raccoons, we have discovered that we cannot keep them up and filled. The squirrels empty them and the raccoons destroy them. It appears that they are more clever than we are. No matter where we hang them or how, the critters get to them. In some scenarios, I cannot figure out how they did it. Now, I will not need to guess how they do it and perhaps I will collect some intelligence as to how to thwart them.I like the fact that this camera comes complete with batteries and an SD card. Others I have bought in the past did not. The construction seems like it will be waterproof. Once I have some pictures and actual field notes, perhaps I will return and add them.

This Zumimall security camera fits the bill for my needs - it works outdoors, has a long lasting rechargeable battery, works with my wifi, decent IOS app, and SD card for local storage with optional cloud ($3/mo). The build quality appears top notch - feels very solid and the picture quality of camera is very clear with excellent night vision. Hopefully camera build is better than manual which is not very helpful. It has an optional solar charger panel but I rigged up an extension cord to an exterior house light and plugged in a USB charger with a 10' cable - works great. Zumimall is very responsive.

I am in Day 3 of testing this camera. I temporary installed it inside so I can test out all the features instead of having to climb up and down a ladder battling the outside weather and conditions. I am posting a screenshot. The image of the outside through a tinted window isn't bad on a rainy day; time of day about 7pm ET. Will post more reviews after I move the camera outside. But so far I am quite satisfied with it.

These trailcams will record, BUT.Picture quality isn't the greatest. Though decent. What you might expect. Not as good as your phone.The motion sensor is extremely sensitive, even when on the lowest setting. Hard for outdoor use when every moving tree, or lighting change tends to trigger...but it is movement, so I can't be overly critical.Ideally with these units, they should have some bluetooth or plugin ability to use your phone to ensure the camera is lined up and facing the right place. The screen is on the inside, so you really have to do a best guess that you have it lined up exactly as you want it.The batteries (which it takes many AA), tend to last about 3 months or thereabout.Decided to go with an AC Adapter as I am lucky enough to have power nearby. I have gone to every shop that sells adapters in my city, and eventually ordered the best match I could find from Amazon as I could not find an adapter that would fit this unit. The plug-in area is deep, and most adapters either have an "L" shaped plug in, that won't reach, and every straight model I tried won't reach. I eventually purchased a straight model and had to push and squeeze and mash it as far in to the hole as possible. It barely makes contact and the slightest movement disconnects it. Pretty frustrating.If you are usuing it for hidden surveillance, they are also a bit of a giveaway as the nightnight view has the infrared light needed...don't know if any unit has a work around for that....but could be spotted.Though these cameras aren't overly pricey compared to some, and will do a decent job, there are many options missing (as mentioned) that I would consider before buying if they are important to you.
