Good camera. For the price? Great camera.
I was able to snag a few of these when they were only $35.99 each, and also purchased two 16gb SD cards as well as rechargeable batteries (although the instructions say rechargeables don't work with these cameras they definitely do). Having never used trail cameras before, I found these to be easy to set up and use. I put these up in several different locations a few months ago to see what 4 legged, and possibly 2 legged creatures, were on some property I just purchased. To my delight, the cameras were able to catch some bucks, does, a few fawns, a whole lot of turkeys and one bobcat. It also caught an unknown fella walking by. The daytime pics are pretty decent while the nighttime pics are a little on the grainy side but still clear enough to identify what's in the pictures. The cameras have held up well to many days of rain and temperatures over 100 degrees on some days. One of the only negative things about them is the need to use the little remote control they came with to access the setting, look at pictures, etc. Apparently, the new version has built in controls on the camera itself which makes things a lot more convenient.

Excellent pictures and videos
For awareness: Before you can use the WingHome Trail Camera, you need to have or purchase (1) 12 AA batteries and (2) an SD card up to 32 GB.I primarily use trail cameras on my property to figure out which animal is doing what. I live near woods and have devious animals visiting. I've only used a couple different types of trail cameras to date. The build quality of the WingHome is sturdy, as are all trail cameras I’ve used, but the WingHome seems to be more polished and just slightly better on various fronts. The clasp to seal and open the WingHome camera is noticeably easier in my experience to use than other trail cameras I’ve had. The screen is tiny but big enough to see the menus, pictures, and videos and is of good quality.Set up of the trail camera was simple. Pop the batteries in, select setup with the switch and press menu. I went through and found the options mostly self-explanatory. One strange thing, the date format is a European format of DD/MM/YY instead of the typical US format of MM/DD/YY. Bear this in mind when setting the date or get the surprise that I did.I found the images and the video to be of excellent quality. I did bump my video and picture quality to the max. I was using a high GB SD card so I wasn’t worried about running out of space. When set to picture and video, I did find that the video kicks in a second or two after the picture so there was a fair chance of missing whatever triggered the picture. The night vision worked well. I did notice that if I put my camera too near any objects, the infrared tended to cause infrared light bouncing off close objects to be bright at a cost dimming the image of things further away. That was my user error. Overall, once I adjusted placement, night vision was great. Audio was surprisingly good.Initially I set the sensitivity to high, but found that I was triggering a lot of pictures on birds. Who seemed really interested in the new thing in their environment. After setting it to the middle setting, I found a balance I liked.Really pleased with this product. I look forwarding to enjoying the images I gather from the WingHome Trail Camera.

Good quality images and features
I live in an area where there is a lot of wildlife that comes through my yard and I really wanted to find out what kind of animal has been raiding my garden. This camera caught my attention because of the higher 1296P compared to the 1080p that are more common. I also wanted a camera where I can turn on and off the wifi mode remotely so I don't have to go to the camera to turn on the Wifi Mode, this comes with a remote control that you can use to turn on/off the wifi mode. This was a big plus for me and it has worked pretty well for me, I did not have to physically press the button on the camera every time I wanted to see what images the camera has captured. All you have to do is turn on the wife via remote and then you connect to the camera's wifi through your phone's app and you can access the photos and videos in the trail cam.The picture quality is really good, I kept the photo resolution at 24MP(Max) and both the day and night pictures were very crisp and clear. The videos captured were very detailed and there was no distortion, as you would see on lower quality trail cams. The only negative to this is you need to get a bigger SD card as it fills up 32 GB very fast. The packaging was ok, everything was securely in the box. I also wish it took fewer batteries, 8 AA batteries is a lot and I hope I don't have to replace these as frequently. The motion detection has been accurate and I kept the IR level in the lowest setting and it has been working pretty well for my needs. If you need a good-quality trail cam with nice features, this XTU Trial Cam is a great choice.

Q
does the adapter work with the sony alpha7III?
A
I use it on the Sony Alpha 6000 with a manual FD 50mm. AF and aperture transmission are not an issue here. Actually, the adapter only keeps the lens at the right distance in front of the sensor. This works great and I think it will be the same with the Alpha 7III.
Q
I use a filter adapter from 49 to 52.. can I screw the lens hood onto it?
A
You can easily screw the 52mm metal wide-angle sun visor onto the 49mm - 52mm step UP filter adapter. This can even be an advantage if you want to avoid possible shadowing at the edges with smaller focal length settings.
Q
Can I attach my lens cap over the screw on adapter?
A
Hi, you can attach center-pinch lens cap on this filter , except the ND1000 filter , the CPL, UV and magnetic adapter ring can attach lens cap.
Q
will my Canon lens work with my Sony a5100 with this adapter?
A
Don’t forget that it’s a manual lens adapter. Works with full manual lenses. If your lens has no physical aperture ring, you cannot control it from your camera.
Q
Does this adapter a good fit for Sony a7iii ?
A
It’s a little tight on my a7III. I bought the Fotodiox brand for my Nikon glass and prefer the fit a bit more. Still works however, just ended up buying a Fotodiox for my Minoltas as well.
