Tiffen 82mm
Works well with lens and canon 60d camera. Good protection for lens. Would recommend filter for any lens needed for your camera.

Exactly what I was expecting
This filter fit my Canon lens perfectly. I could tell no difference in picture quality or in auto focus ability with or without this filter - which is very good. The research shows these filters won't protect against much of a blow, but it will protect against scratches and blowing dust. I know - because that is why I bought this one. My old Tiffen filter bit the dust - literally - and left my lens unharmed. I expect this one will do as well.

Looks fine so far
Filter looks fine, however the Canon lens cap for the camcorder did not fit very well on the filter, so I will have to get another lens cap.

A nice little polarizer if you are just starting o
Polarizing filters have many uses whether you want deeper blue skies, cut through reflections in water or suppress glare off your lake pictures or even metallic surfaces.I use polarizers in the above scenarios (although there are certainly others), and started off with a cheap set of Agfa filters just to play around with them. These worked fine for experimenting but did soften the images somewhat compared to the native (non-filtered) glass. This was especially noticeable when doing 100% crops using my Canon L Glass. If you do a quick search for filters, two names come up time and time again, B&W and Hoya as consistently making the best filters and there is a reason for that. They are the best. This is Amazons entry into the market of polarizing filters, arguably the most used filter type.I only have the one lens that uses the 58mm filter thread, the Canon 50mm f1.4 USM. Although not L glass, Canons 50mm prime lenses are renowned for being excellent value and have very good sharpness for the price. The Amazon Basics 58mm polarizing filter comes in a nice frustration free package inside of which you will find the box that contains the filter. The carrying case is very much like those used by B&W. Unfortunately that is where the similarities end.Amazon's filter is quite large in width compared to other circular polarizers and looks like it is made of steel rather than brass. It is still fairly easy to screw on and off my lens however.Unlike a B&W filter which will give you roughly 1.5-2 stops allowing you to shoot at higher speeds, the amazon filter only gives you roughly 0.5 to 1 stop. This was a quick test using a Canon 5d Mk3, the 50mm f1.4 and shooting carp and turtles at a botanical gardens just around the corner from where I live. It is by no means scientific. Just comparing the differences between an Agfa, a B&W and the Amazon circular polarizers under the same conditions.Taking the pictures into Adobe lightroom and comparing them at 100% crops you will see a difference between the different polarizers. The Agfa and Amazon polarizers are nearly the same with Amazons coming in slightly sharper than the Agfa but not as good as a B&W filter. So the Amazon does lower the native resolution of your lens slightly but it is only noticeable when you zoom in. If you are just going to be taking pictures to put on the internet, Facebook or what have you without doing much cropping then the results are certainly usable. This is not something I would put on my L glass but for standard lenses and primes it actually isn't all that bad at all.

Good protection for any lens
I use a uv filter to protect the lens, but sometimes you get glaring if pointed near the sun as expected as they all do unless its coated. Good lens.

One of my most used lens ever
Along with the 70-200 f/4 IS L, this lens is always in my backpack when I'm doing travel photography, here is why:- Lightweight, you basically don't feel it in your backpack.- Weather sealed when used with a filter.- Very fast autofocus.- No purple fringing like I used to have with my Canon EF-S 10-22mm.- Distortion is moderate.- Has 77mm filter diameter, with is the case for a lot of Canon lenses. Its biggest competitor is the Canon EF 16-35 f/2.8 II (or I) but I personally don't need f/2.8 with this kind of travel around lens. If I want a nice bokeh at a short focal, I will use my 35mm f/1.4.If you want to see real situation samples, just check my blog and website:[...][...]Emmanuel.

Q
How does this k&f nano-x variable nd2-nd32 filter work in direct sunlight?
A
Depends on what you mean by direct sunlight. If you mean the filter pointed directly at the sun, and you are worried about lens flare, well it wont stop that. But if you mean using it out in bright bright sunlight all around, then it works great. I'm a member of the Longview Film Club. We shoot indie short films, and use these for all of lenses and cameras. It's a must when shooting outside under almost any conditions. Makes it possible to get nice Depth of Field even on a sunny day.
Q
What lens hood will work for this filter?
A
I have the 77mm version of this and I am NOT able to use a lens hood on my Canon 17-40mm wide angle once the filter is on. I haven't tried putting on the hood first and then trying to screw on the filter yet. That's not to say that all lens hoods won't work but for me it does not under the scenario described above.
Q
Does this fit a Canon EOS 20D with a kit lens of 18-55mm?

Hello the filter size is 58mm, so as long as your lens size i s58mm, the filter can work with your Canon EOS 20D
Q
