I love this so much! I did not have the room light on just natural sun shining through the window. The ring light alone elevated the natural brightness of the room. I tested the brightness at 2 levels: it’s highest level and a medium warm level. Each tone shined true. Everything was packed securely and all attachments and remotes work!

I would not recommend it to a friend, I bought it to use it for taking shots of the ocean against the rocks, well when I place it to Max it does not close the whole disc black but does a star shape so that in the picture the corners are blown out and it gives a lot of cross-polarization. I was told it is common when you buy variable density filters that are not fixed. I just bought and received the Image ND 2 4 6 replacement filter kit and worked much better for me for what I was trying to accomplish. updated - Oct 27th - I am told that to use this filter it is best used at a 90 degree angle of the sun, that is you place your sholder facing the sun then stick your arm out in front of you at that in 90 degrees to help with flare and cross-polarization.

My wife’s car is a 2008 Saturn Vue. There really is no place on the dash board for a holder. We tried vent holders but just broke the vents. The console is too low so we had to find a window holder. Your holder grabbed the window and held strong but we’re concerned about what will happen when the sun heats up the windshield. I put a white sticker on the outside of the windshield to block the sun over your suction cup, but we’ll have to wait to see if that works.

Total peice of doo doo. The sun coming in from my window produces more light. Unless your trying to light a dust particle get something stronger.

Easy to use and Economical!

I love that this device allows me to change up between the dash, window and air vent. In the summer I use the air vent to keep everything out of the sun and I can still easily put in my sun shade. Winter I change to the dash so the heat isn’t blowing on my phone the whole time. Great product and great price.

What do you mean by waterproof? The filter has two pieces that rotate relative to each other. Will that seam between the two pieces leak water if I use this filter underwater? How deep can it be used before it leaks? Will salt water damage it?

hello,waterproof refers to the surface of the filter has a waterproof film, if water drops on the filter, the water will directly slide off without leaving water marks on the filter, then it is easy to clean.we do not recommend that you use in the water, the water will enter the CPL inside the seam.

Are the lithium ion batteries included? Are they built into the unit?

Built in. Only need sun or plug in charger ( it comes with one) to power up.

How does this k&f nano-x variable nd2-nd32 filter work in direct sunlight?

Depends on what you mean by direct sunlight. If you mean the filter pointed directly at the sun, and you are worried about lens flare, well it wont stop that. But if you mean using it out in bright bright sunlight all around, then it works great. I'm a member of the Longview Film Club. We shoot indie short films, and use these for all of lenses and cameras. It's a must when shooting outside under almost any conditions. Makes it possible to get nice Depth of Field even on a sunny day.

will camera work thru a window?

Yes and no. Using motion detection it doesn't work through a window. However.... using the timer inside it you can record through a window using it. How? Set the timer to record 4 minutes every 5 minutes for 1-5 hours or whatever time you need it to record for. This is what I do- just make sure you have a SD card with enough memory for the videos- I use a 32 GB SD card, I use it though a window as a security camera for my car....I live in an apartment so I can't hard wire anything and this works great for what it is.

Can I use it to take pictures of the Sun or Solar eclipse?
