Sun Flare Lens Filter

I keep this on my lenses at all times. I only wish it had more threads to attach my flare reduction cover or place a lens protector. I love the filter though

Great deal, the only reason for a 4 star and not 5 was they have a good amount of lens flare in certain situations.

100% Clear and no color cast

i actually bought the 67 for a Canon 70-200 f4 is and the filter is amazingly clear. I took some informal test photos with and without the filter using various white walls and blinds that were backlit. Color cast and flare shows easiest during backlit situations. No color change and absolutely no flare although it was not direct sun. I was shooting the same thing with the 24-105 and a good B&W UV filter and the color cast is obvious vs. the Breakthrough. I feel good about leaving the filter on all the time for protection. For those that say a filter is a waste for protection, ever get soapy bubbles from weddings on the lens (filter)? If you did on a filter no foul... on a lens, good luck!!

Damn do I look good while video conferencing with all my work mates. This camera also comes fully equipped with opticals flares so you can look like you’re in a JJ Abrams flick! Okay thats not entirely factual... but it does have a lens flare that sits just under my face that everyone comments on “hey whats that on your face?”. It’s the lens flare.Aside from that the camera works great. Plug and play into both my mac and pc with no issues. Resolution is great and clear and as far as I can tell (i can’t hear myself) the mic is good too.The stand is handy too. I can have it sit on my monitor or quickly move it and have it sit on the desk with no problems of having to adjust it so it doesn’t fall.If I had to criticize anything it would be the focal length of the camera is pretty wide.

Good protection for any lens

I use a uv filter to protect the lens, but sometimes you get glaring if pointed near the sun as expected as they all do unless its coated. Good lens.

Great lens. Although, in the car photography I do, I shoot a lot of car interiors. I do get a lot of lens flare, which I have to use foamcore to block the light. Other than that nice and sharp.

Depends on what you mean by direct sunlight. If you mean the filter pointed directly at the sun, and you are worried about lens flare, well it wont stop that. But if you mean using it out in bright bright sunlight all around, then it works great. I'm a member of the Longview Film Club. We shoot indie short films, and use these for all of lenses and cameras. It's a must when shooting outside under almost any conditions. Makes it possible to get nice Depth of Field even on a sunny day.

I don't see why not, remember that the filter goes on the lens, not on the camera.

hello ,you can use ie take picture of the sun, but not for the solar eclipse
